Exactly. Any diecasts that are Mattel-related (HW, Matchbox) are cheaper than other diecast brands in terms of price, and of course, castings with cheap prices will be hoarded easily. Expensive/highly-detailed diecast brands (like Tarmac, etc) cannot be hoarded
After looking at the Tarmac version, I really have no interest in the Hot Wheels version at all, which is really so ugly. A white Tarmac version is coming in October and I will buy this one.

I really hope people aren’t ignoring the Tarmac Works Agera R just because it’s not as popular as Hot Wheels. I mean, yeah, Hot Wheels is the most popular 1:64 diecast cars of all time, but does it mean that Hot Wheels is the best of their kind? Absolutely not! Hot Wheels makes a lot of defects such as misprinted tampos, missing tampos, chrome loss on wheels, missing parts on cars (window, spoiler, wheels etc), misglued packages, paint smears, missing paint, paint chips, paint cracks, I could go on forever. But then there’s 1:64 diecast car companies like Johnny Lightning, M2 Machines, Mini GT, Tarmac Works where they all have little to no defects on 99% of their cars, yet no one gives them much attention. What I’m trying to say is, people are paying way, way too much attention to Hot Wheels because of it’s popularity, and aren’t paying attention to less known 1:64 diecast car companies.

Looks like I’m cornered from both sides, one hotwheels agera is not coming to India as I’m hearing that it will be Walmart exclusive ($TuPId AsSHoLeS) and other thing is the tarmac agera RS is costly for me, here some guys are selling it for 3000-4500, it’s seriously high for me. Could get it by selling of some of my supers but still. Also the import duty has been hiked to 200% (stone falling on head intensifies) so it will more worse for me So for now all I could do just watch from a corner, enjoy guys

My unpopular opinion: Tbh I'm NOT interested on buying these overhyped supercar castings ESPECIALLY the Agera R, Bugattis (although I only have the blue one which is fine), Speed Machines Murcielago SV, and $TH Ferrari Enzo because i'm not a huge fan of supercars in general. I'm more into collecting JDM castings, and some other castings that i like especially classic Porsches and VWs
