I can relate to you Mavis. My central heating broke down for 3 months on and off from beginning of Oct to end of December. The heating engineers came all together 5 times.
I was cold on Christmas eve, Christmas day and Boxing day.
I have a portable electric heater, but it is so cold in the morning when you get out of bed!
The last time engineer came changed some parts and it has been working fine, fingers crossed.
I will need a new boiler but hopefully when it is warmer and when it is safe.
It is now set at 16 degree day and night. I check every morning and day to see if it is working and
thank God for the warmth.
I didn't know Age UK can help, we haven't got Age UK here in our town.
Oh, this was 2020 Oct to December. Quite traumatic really. Waiting over the weekends as well - the engineers don't work weekends!
Please God give blessings to the Age UK for their kind help for the Older people. Those people work hard to make a living. Enough Respect to them. There are a lot of cuts back of financial assistances for my he Vulnerable desperate people. Our Queen ang her Daughter Princes Ann working very hard all their lives. I feel Princess Ann should be our future Queen. The people of England should voted for European and not allow to have Brit exit. Commerce is important for Our Country and the World at large. What is wrong with people of England. They are going to have it very very hard for the Future.
We don't have Age UK here.
Where are her children? The message here is don't worry the good government will take care of you, will feed you, warm you. The bureaucrats don't give a rat's ass if people starve or freeze as long as they vote for more government
