    Their Bassist Ed’s tone is also extremely good and quintessential 80s metal. Picked Spector bass on neck pickup with GK head is a classic combo

      yep, lots of cool queensryche bass lines.

    Well done Bro! That tone is so close, it could be flagged. :-) That intro was sick man. When you hit that A, it was glorious!

    Love Queensryche. My very first cd was Empire.

      Nice, that’s a good record for sure.

    To get the guitar tone correct, you need to use Wizard cabs

    The body of the sound is there but I think there’s way too much gain imo

    • @ShredHeads

      It would be nice if there was an isolated track somewhere to compare but it has never been released.

      @@axlh.1827 cool, ill check those out. Queensryche are blockers though so its hard to create content about the band.

    Great video! This intro in all your Nail That Tone videos.....is there a longer version of it anywhere or if possible can you upload yourself playing it? Possibly one of the coolest sequences I've heard!

    • @ShredHeads
      @ShredHeads  Před 3 lety +3

      Thanks dude, I think originally I did have a slightly longer version that goes into the verse of the song however, when I was editing the video I cut that part out. It is hard to find covers of Queensryche songs because the label or the band are blockers. When I upload videos some of them get blocked so I have to change the eq a bit or I have to make shorter versions.

    Very close tone bro. ADA's MP1 was sooo much used from 1987 till" 1991.
    It was one of the standard equipments for metal bands distortion effect.

    • @ShredHeads
      @ShredHeads  Před 10 měsíci

      Yeah the Ada mp1 is a classic. Cool preamp from the 80’s.

    This is great, I just got my FM9 about 2 weeks ago and I'm trying to make a Queensryche clean, dirty, and lead channel for it. So far it has been pretty challenging, it's close but I'm not satisfied with it yet.

    • @ShredHeads

      It’s tricky at first but you will get better at creating presets as you begin to use it more.

    Awesome video! Those tips were very helpful. And congratulations for your tone on the beginning as well, it was quite accurate! By the way, do you know where I may find the websites that appeared in Japanese during the video?

      Thanks man, glad you enjoyed the video. I don’t remember the exact links, but I remember I googled queensryche gear. There is a lot of misinformation out there. Any credible source should have proof to back up their claims. This is why I included pictures of their actual rigs they were using at the time.

    Dear friend, it would be nice if you try to compare the original gear vs an actual alternative grear, by budget and tone the, old vintage equipment vs the new cheapest

    • @ShredHeads
      @ShredHeads  Před 10 měsíci

      You could do that, but you would need to have all that equipment. I like to collect only the old vintage equipment.

  • @Boogieplex
    @Boogieplex Před 10 měsíci

    Pretty sure i hear a light chorus in both dirty and clean tones. And obviously a little light delay.
    Without those 2 elements you may find your rig sounds a little dry compared to Queensryche’s tones.

    • @ShredHeads
      @ShredHeads  Před 2 lety

      If you have an Ada MP-1 it should be saved to its internal memory unless it’s been changed and saved over. Google: Ada mp1 factory presets to get the settings info.
