Kyle Shanahan loves shiny new toy skill position players over offensive line which is fine until the later dog days where youâre playing elite teams in the playoffs. We will likely see some entertaining offensive blowouts followed by offensive line gaffs when playing tough elite defenses. Could be a roller coaster but it seems thatâs how Shanahan and Lynch rolls. I was hoping to get an elite offensive right tackle either in free agency or the draft followed by an above average right guard since our line lost us the game in blown blocking assignments both at the end of regulation in the 4th quarter and the final 3rd down in OT forcing a field goal. While other mistakes such as turnovers also led to the 49ers loss the weakness at offensive line was quite apparent against one of the best defenses in the league against KC. The new toys we have will be interesting to watch though so from that perspective Iâll enjoy the fireworks.
How you gonna say its gonna be difficult t for Kingston to get on the roaster in the o line thats the weak link of the team so he should be good to go also persall was 1st round so dont he automatically get 4 year contract with 5th year option
Even half a second more per passing play wouldâve won the 49ers the Super Bowl. We just need to take the pass protection from below average (23rd ranked) to slightly above average (ranked 14 or higher). If they can do that the offense will be unstoppable with Purdy and his weapons. Itâs a lot to ask for though as I donât really think we did all that well drafting offensive linemen. We will see. Puni looks like he has potential. Iâm skeptical about Kingston.
