UGH!! Halloween!!! Let me give a different perspective as a schoolteacher in rural Midwest circa 1985....the "mischief" was usually directed at the school building & the teachers' houses...I got to where I would just leave town, then come home at 2 am & hose the eggs & rotten vegetables off the house. Dealt with it for 10 years or so till I moved to a larger town where apparently it wasn't a thing.
O my! I don't recall targeting anyone, that's malicious. I heard from people they do this in the Midwest as well. Honestly not too many local traditions left, the kids certainly do not celebrate as joyfully as in the previous years, but regardless I stay home and guard the fort these days.
I posted a comment on your previous video and then I see you have a new video up. You are on the move! My daughter was born in 1991 and her and I love GooseBumps! We had-have a tradition of watching Goosebumps- The Werewolf Of Fever Swamp episode every Halloween. All from that time period brings back happy memories of my daughter growing up. (*sniff*, I have something in my eye) I love Edgar Allen Poe and I plan on buying his complete works before Halloween, It's a tradition too. Every year I plan on buying his book and never do! hahahah. That's a nice looking copy of Dracula that you have. I agree, Halloween is an event, not just a day. I love what I call the best three months of the year, October-November-December. There is just so much fun stuff going on during that time, I love it. And it always goes by so fast, sad. I hope you find your Poe collection. Lots of really nice versions out there! If you had a kid in the 90s you got watch a lot of great cartoons and animated movies. A lot of it went right over our little heads. Thanks for watching and (always great) commenting!
Awesome video man! I’ve never read any h.p lovecraft but after seeing that copy you have I need to get my hands on one lol also I love the evil dead movies I prefer the first one over the 2nd movie but they’re both still good. I use to read goosebumps when I was a kid and I need to try and find those again and start collecting them. I’ve seen the first 5 or 5 hellraiser movies and I really enjoy the first 3. I. Haven’t read the book though and now I wanna change that. Again man great video! You definitely just got me pumped up even more for Halloween!🎃🎃
The cenobites are really cool. I don't want to hang out with them but still. We were really spoiled with the horror content imo. There's a lot of creepy shows they make for kids.... but they are creepy for all the wrong reasons 😬. The neighbors started putting up the Giant yard Skeletons.... its time!
