FH1: Closest to the real thing but not quite
FH3: *_earrape_*
FH4: McLaren F1 GTR
FH5: Same thing as FH4 but with a fat muffler
Embarrassing when FH1 sounds the most realistic out of them all. Shows how little they care about their audio design
But if they add realistic sounds the Game gets heavy, they have to focus on New Cars

Forza series starting from fm2 to fh1 was the golden age of their sound design.

Always found it strange that this was based on concept and renders shown at the Geneva Motor show in 2007 despite this game first coming out in 2012. Every appearance of it onwards was the finished car itself.
The most annoying thing for me is that they didn’t bother adding a working tachometer on the steering wheel back. Worked perfect in FH3
who cares about that when the sound in 3 is the worst...

It would be a nice touch but I prefer a better sound instead.
I dont know when they added it but it now works in fh5. Just noticed today.

FH1 is just mesmerizing. They've literally murdered it in the sequels.
Forza Horizon definitely had the best sound for the Zonda R (FM4's soundfile)
The rest just sound absolutely nowhere near, awful at its finest

It seems that not a lot of games can get this car right. The best I’ve seen, and I don’t mean to sound cliche but it’s assetto corsa
Driveclub did it decently well
NFS Most Wanted 2012 also did a pretty decent job, although the car doesn't rev too high in that game for some reason
Project Cars and NFS Shift 2 also did a good job.
My only gripe with Assetto Corsa's version of the Zonda R is that the gear ratios are long.
FH1 has the best car sounds despite the entire game including audio files all needing to fit onto a single 9.5 GB DVD.
I figured the Zonda R's thunderous sound is just too much for video games audio to bear.

I still don't understand why they can't give great audio quality, stock cars with racing gearbox whine, E46 still sounds depressing, zonda R the same thing, zonda cinque same.
This feels like playing ghost games NFS, to think they won best audio design award.
Even sliding or doing donuts on dirt sounds like doing it on tarmac .----.
And don't tell me "who cares about sounds" when a big part of the community complained about that with H4, it is a $60 game, we deserve quality (and i'm not saying is a bad game but pointing out one problem that has been reiterative since the last 2 games)
The fact that the sound of the zonda r in fh5 is just the sound of the f1, but a littie edited
fh5 could have it on point, but it's not loud and doesn't have that "scream" to the sound

FH1 is my favourite because its mature has more street racing. Horizon series overtime has become more for kids like hot wheels and lego.

Forza Horizon in first person looks like when you search up secret cars in gta san andreas and they show how to get it and how it looks…
In most games, Zonda R always too slow and Veyron too fast compared to reality... The Zonda R is limited to 350kph... But goes over 370kph in good conditions... And the Veyron SS doesnt so 14s or less 0-300, but more like 16s, and the Veyron 16.4 19s...
It would be good if they would have different colours
