I would love to see Radio Gaga by Queen deconstructed. It’s full of synth, strings, pads, piano, bass etc etc
You have to play the arpeggiator throughout though, no copying pasting on that track😃 Although I dont like that sound, I would replace it with a more synthy punchy arpeggiator that repeats itself here and there.

Oh yes! It's interesting to see how much salvaging can be done / is done. Friends tell me that it is a big factor how much work the mixer / editor has to do in the end - it depends on the artist, if they get it right in studio or need much post work. :)

@Timo Yep, definitely. One thing I want to look into as well as getting an iPad, so it's like a cross between a computer and an actual synth.

@Timo It isn't even anything new. almost all modern electronic music has been made in DAW for many years by now. I was already using modern DAW in 2004, though only as a hobby and not commercially.

I thought of you as just another keyboard midi studio guy, but as I’ve watched more of your videos. I realize what a wonderful ear you have and what great production decisions you make with an amazing workflow. It's that exact sound. By the way the instrument is called Shakuhachi.
It's a very easy part to play, all black keys. I would love to try it with that sample.
Rush's Tai Shan song off their Hold Your Fire album maybe uses this sound too, just without the initial bit.

Even though the Daft Punk used real drums, bass and guitar for their track (and most of this album) I really appreciate how your version sounds!
also vocoder only on the chorus. the main vocal is an unprocessed voice. But this still sounds fire!!

The original track composed by Brad Fiedel of this blockbuster is already more than 30 years old, and had some sequels, but every time I listen to it I can almost taste the menacing and the tragic. How cool would that be?
