We Kwahu's called that town small London
Hi sister, you actually went to my area and you brought tears to my eyes. Am from Nkwatia where Rock City is but for some years I have not spent holidays in Ghana and for that matter not visited my area and my people so seeing the area made me feel home sick. I will tell you one thing, renting a house in any of the Kwahu towns besides Nkawkaw doesn't cost much and I remember when I was growing up people were given rooms to live in freely without paying anything. What was or is important is to keep the house neat. We Kwahus are mostly traders and entrepreneurs so we travel far and wide. Most of the shops in Accra are owned by Kwahus but one hardly notice us because we don't show off so much unless one visits us or come to our towns. Our relatives whom we leave behind are mostly farmers and sometimes our mothers at a certain age come back to handle and take care of the family interests while the young ones continue their hustle and comes to visit on occasions like the Easter holidays. Well there's so much to learn from the Kwahus in general and we discuss everything due to space and time but if you make frequent visits to the area you one day go to see one of our Kings to learn more about the Kwahus.
