Happy Mardi Gras!!! Alexandria holds a Children’s Mardi Gras parade every year on the Saturday before Fat Tuesday. It is always a fun time for the entire family young and old. There are many beautiful floats, lots of beads, trinkets and candy to collect.
In Louisiana, Mardi Gras is a big deal. Many Louisiana cities have several parades, leading up to the big day. The farther south you are in Louisiana, the more they celebrate. New Orleans holds some of the longest and largest Mardi Gras parades, parties and celebrations.
