Lee playing guitar, and slide! Best live band I've ever seen and I'm into my sixties now. Unfortunately never got to see the original line up. Saw them with Sparky in a Liverpool pub. Lee bought us a pint at the bar while rolling a fag with one hand. Pure class. Saw Wilko's Solid Senders in Telford just after they split and saw him at the Linton festival a few years ago. Brilliant guitairist, heavily influenced by Mick Green of the Pirates. I believe they lived near to each other at one time. RIP Wilko.
these guys are fine musical blokes ,,,,utter genius ive loved them since i was a young woman now im 75 years old ,, i still adore what ever they blast out xxx lol
Life is good but can be so unfair and cheat us sometimes. Taking super talents and heroes like this away far too early just one such. That some of the best Gitter work my old ears have ever witnessed. Back then and now today. Just checked in for my monthly refresh. What a sound. What talents. Great Gitter action. Never tire listening to that. Little London born and bred me's first visit to the Seaside was to Southend-on-sea, the area where most of these talented folks originated from. Long time ago but you never forget those first times. Gonna play it agin..
J'ai découvert ce groupe de ROCK par hasard dans les années 80 lors d'une soirée dansante chez une amie pour son anniverssaire et cela m'avait totalement enchanté
Was visiting Feelgood House one snowy night April 1975 when Wilko arrived out of the weather with a cassette (popular at the time) containing his raw demo of a song he'd just written. To be honest it was musically a routine 12 bar until they worked on it.Lee's Gretsch slide decisively sliced up the lyrics and another crowd fave was born.
This mob was absolutely brilliant, great band! What I really appreciate about this video is the sound of Lee's slide and fingers when he moves on the fret board✅ Dr Feelgood ,pure, basic ,these days if artists didn't try to big note themselves so much and kept it simple, singing real and actually playing real...their carter may be a bit longer with tunes that stand the test of time!
Here's the thing - Dr Feelgood did it with *passion* and loved the songs they played. They were a rock/r&b band, not a glorified and autotuned song and dance act who couldn't give a damn about music.
Proper rock band, not like the shit served up to the youth today. Real musicians and Lee handled a Gibson SG very well, excellent slide. Multi-talented, he had an honest attitude, such a pity he passed away so young. Saw them in the Saint Francis Xaviar Hall in Dublin decades ago and was privilaged at that. Happy St. Patrick's Day to all you sinners out there LOL
Top band , Live in Glasgow and Noocastle way back when. RIP Lee, Get in there Wilko show em' you not lying down!. No Special effects or affects(sic).......
Story goes they were on the way to the concert to perform in a van with all their gear. They had a flat tire. Lee, being the obvious choice wearing a white suite, changed the tire. Hence the stains.
The Old Breed. We'll never see the like of them again. Respect.
WTF?! This is the first time I've seen Brilleaux play guitar!!!! He's gifted!!!
You have not lived
My god that man was gifted
patrick i love your comment , i feel the same as you ,,, then now and always lol Jane x

Has n't he just. Great slide, what a performer. Harp, slide, vocals. It's almost like dance. Hardcore from the south coast, long may it reign.
