When I first joined CDC, they didn’t charge an upgrade fee. I got the Midnight Blue, never used it. Upgraded to Ruby Steel and never used it. Then upgraded to Royal Indigo and finally started habitually using the card, and love it.
I got the Coinbase card back in 2021 and use that for every transaction I won’t get rewards back w/ CDC. I think CB beats out both bottom tiers of the CDC Visa.

Ever since I got the CDC royal indigo I've let my wife use it for her transactions. She likes it so much that she's wanting me to upgrade it to the rose gold.....still got a ways to go.

For me the whole CDC Card/App/DeFi package is still worth it. I've been happy with CDC for over a year and enjoy passive income with their supercharger, crypto earn, rewards, credit/debit card cashback, rebates and DeFi.
What I like about Coinbase is that its treating the crypto as its own bank account.
I love my CDC card! And the App and Defi app work together seamlessly. I can have my money on some Dex on Defi, take some of the earnings from a Dex send it back to the main app and use it on your card
If you guys want check out the cdc Defi wallet. So much potential there
How do you feel about the fees though? Are they bad?
@@temporarybrokeboys depends what you do, but most of the time I get either .0002 CRO for simple moving coins, 1 CRO for using dex programs and a few rare times it's more than 1 but less than 2 CRO
@@temporarybrokeboys oh and it's a Defi wallet so it's not on the exchange it's on the actual block chain. So remember your key phrases and don't lose it, and it's safer than on an actual exchange like the actual CDC app

@@temporarybrokeboys correct, at least on their native Cronos ecosystem. You can also access the Etherium ecosystem which uses Eth obviously lol it's been expanding little by little. I love the defi wallet. Just gotta be careful which projects you invest in of course like everything.

You essentially get nothing back because it takes 4 percent when you buy USDC

I think you're referring to the Coinbase card. And it's 2.49% fee to spend crypto. And yes there's a fee to buy USDC. A workaround to get 0 fees is to get direct deposit from your employer to Coinbase and setup to get the paycheck as USDC and whenever you spend that USDC with your card there is no fees involved and you get 1-4% back in crypto.
@@chrisedge2820 I think you also get that if you just connect a bank for ACH transfers.

When you have it on the CDC app. You stake it and earn for 3 months does that extra percentage get added to the 6%APY?
You can accrue it after the 3 months!

Don't bother. They announced some serious nerfs to the cards today that will be going into effect next month.
EDIT: They rolled back a lot of them, but you'd have until the end of the month to get in on the current rates. As far as card upgrades go, I think you're good with the current one you have as long as you don't order the upgraded one. For example, upgrading to Ruby and ordering the upgraded one will permanently deactivate the blue one and so on. Shame since I like the look of the Ruby one the most.
I want to transfer money from my bank to my Coinbase Debit Card so I can start getting rewards. I want it to be stable, should I load it to US Dollar or USD Coin? I'm not really sure the difference

That's no good! I hate to hear that. Did Coinbase support help you get it fixed?
@@temporarybrokeboys I only had a dollar in my account at the time so the payment was declined. Coinbase did send me out a new card and customer service was good.
