Extremely beautiful God bless this Iraqi&half Assyrian genius.If you notice,how old(b/w) this music is but how advanced its for Iraqi Music at that time (with 2flamenco Guitarists and A HARP player) Its unfortunate &Sad after the collapse of this pillar the quality of Iraqi music collapsed with it (with few classical exceptions) but if Iraq had produced talented MusicianArrangerGenius-Producer...like him, we wouldve been probably comparing our Iraqi music to that of Egypt of classical period.

I do not know exactly. But Jamil Bashir died in England i 1977. This video is from the iraq's TV, from the late 60's. So this composition by Jamil Bashir is probably from the 60's plus/minus a few years
I am not an expert, but I Believe that Jamil met these southamerican musicans and decided to do some music together. In other words this is a "crosspollination" between an iraqui musicians and southamerican ones ( paraguayan?). It is not a traditional set up of instruments.

Jamil Bachir music is timeless. This man never died. His spirit will always live with his music.
