We completely rebuild our ship with our newfound money, and duplicate it to get ourselves a 2 ship fleet of epicness! Then we put it up against multiple vanguard ships, including the BEAST!

Ooooo... In creative mode, try and make ships that connect to each other to make on big ship! Just an idea.
Use 2 or 1 strong ship (mostly good damage) and 1 defensive ship to be a armored and shielded box in front of the enemy to distract the other 2 or 1 ship(s) attack in the back

I would like to see if Scrapman can design a single ship that can 1v1 beat the Cerberus AI ship.
That one ship as far as I can tell appears to be the strongest of the bounty hunter ships in a 1v1 fight. Its weakness appears to be fighting 2 or more player ships at once.
The beast (the cell-based ship) is actually really wimpy. She's just big. All bark no bite.
Those Dual Elite vanguard-killer ships are so so epic!
You should do cosmoteer again..... They even added rail guns and multiplayer!

For your suspended base, could you build a hot air balloon look like it is suspending it so the bridges don't look as weird?

You shouldn't partition your ship. People who only play sandbox do so, but you cannot replace combat losses in a partitioned ship because replacement crew don't always wind up in the compartment they were lost from.
You don't have enough power. The design screen lies about the actual power requirements of shields. Each shield requires almost a dedicated reactor. There's enough excess for things like factories and PD turrets or a few lasers, but not large banks of them or electro-bolts. Ion beams also take almost a dedicated reactor, though there's a bit more to spare than for a shield. You might get by okay simply by being so horribly beweaponed that nothing lasts long enough to drop your shields, but if you do run into something with enough endurance you'll be in trouble.
Sensor arrays are useless. You can see farther than any weapon can fire without them.
The gun to ammo factory ratio is 4:3 for small and 2:3 for large cannons. Missiles are 1:1. Lasers to reactors are 6:1 and electro-bolts are 2:1.
You're using two ships each about as expensive as the most expensive NPC. That covers up a lot of faults.

i just got this game yesterday, its rlly fun im in the pro lvls bout to go to veteran
hey scrapman, just a tip, the cannon explosions deal splash damage through your shields, to negate this effect you could move vour shields forwards if you can. I never really considered separating the weapon sections and power/crew. Good on you! :)
its smart but its also disadvantage cuz u know if sepperate and u reactor get blow out or whatever they cant get other reactors energy and when ur around 500k - millions u got like 2 reactor extra on each part anyway cuz storage rooms are waste of space :/

i tried The Hardest Difficult and Put a Nuclear Missle launcher On my Ship without even noticing... i Killed the enemy With one Hit of it :3

you need to add more doors in some places thats why you cant maintain power
you should do a HUGE fleet of tiny ships worth less than 100 000?
Make 4 of those ships in 1 fleet. You have enough money.
SM you should use the modds on the website when your done it adds like 10 different wep. and shields
keep going with the campaign, there might be some post game after clearing all the planets

Your missiles don't need A missile factory for each one...
A missile factory for 3 of them would be much better, and cost A bit less.
Tip: use Bunks instead of Corridors to maximize your crew.

I didn't make a fleet but I combined my ship with itself 4 times and I am starting to think that was a much better idea than a fleet
the thusters are taking your power at the back the big take 3 power cells and with your i think 4 cores who produces each 8 cells it is actually a bit underpowered i would recommend like 3-6 cores more
