Brian McKilligan Seriously, man. Spectators saw people get off the bike without even ATTEMPTING the run (lots of DNFs added to a few hundred DNS). After months of planning for time goals, that heat virtually destroyed any hope for achieving any PRs. But...the fact remains from that absolutely hellish day: YOU ARE AN IRONMAN.
What an amazing day. The heat, the volunteers, the participants, Maj Scotty Smiley #HopeUnseen , all the support from the crowds, my family... I loved every minute of it!!! IMCDA Finisher.
