let's take metal... and make it even more metal
yeah! ultrametal cover
It's alternative rock for everyone not just you. They fused, rock, hip-hop and a 15% of metal to create their genre.
Fuzzy Dunlop i think its called nu metal?
RATM were among the first RAP METAL bands. (I think the first one was Beastie Boys, but I'm not sure)
+zsombor1 it was Faith No More in the late 80s
Yeah, just had to do this song sooner or later cause it´s THE song that got me into heavy music a long time ago:) Have a great day folks and remember all links for stuff regarding me & Frog Leap Studios can be found in the video description.
awesome job
finally a good video again, the warwick is back in action :)
i had a good suggestion for you i'll just re write it: doing an acoustic and a metal cover of ed sheeran's i see fire ^^. have a nice weekend.
Hey Leo what's a song for someone starting out to cover?
I found the song from Guitar Hero 2, which is the game that made me like rock/metal music. 😃
What about Muse - Hysteria?
Noone:
Leo: does a metal cover on a metal song
DaString 26 it’s not really metal
@@mrcomltni It's alternative or industrial, or what would you say?
LOL Rage Against the Machine isn't metal, it's rapcore before that term existed.
It simply wasn't metal enough
@@deusexaethera Do you know your pic represents Japanese imperialism..??
Someone: You can't do a better metal song, out of a metal song!
Leo: Here, hold my beer! 🍺
just started playing this video to see what on earth he could do to make an already heavy epic song heavier!
He turned a Metal song into steel
He turned steel into titanium
He turned metal into an alloy...
One could say he heat-treated the Metal.
RATM (Iron) + Leo Moracchioli (coal) = Leo's RATM cover (steel)
More like steel into tungsten.
I would almost die to hear some Huey Lewis and the News by Leo!!
I've done the power of love:)
Man.....you are my idle!! Thank you for doing what you do!
idol
***** ?
Fuck you I won't do what you tell me. Fuck you I won't do what you tell me. Fuck you I won't do what you tell me.
God the ending is just brutal. I feel like Leo's vocal are so perfect for this song.
Now I can get into this! I don't listen to RATM very often, but when I do, so do my neighbors.
next: bulls on parade, then bulls on parade, guerilla radio and then bullet in the head.
That's the ONLY way to listen to RATM lol.
U had my respect, sir 🍻
Lmao! That’s what you said about Slipknot. 😏
@@flapjackson6077 slipknot,Korn ratm what difference does it make, though I dont remembering comment on slipnot
Metal cover of Beethoven's 5th Symphony
lol wat
That would be amazing
no thats a bad idea!!!
I prefer his 4th ;)
Erock has a cover of it partly based on an earlier artists i forgot the name
Sharpens ya up and gets you ready for a bit of the ol ultraviolence.
Ain't No Rest for the Wicked by Cage The Elephant would be an amazing cover!
Jason Amrhein agreed
yessssssssss
Agreed with you. \,,/
I didn't realise how badly I needed this.
yes to this
A true musician who enjoys what he does, there is nothing better to witness.
If you ever came to perform in my country, i would most definitely go watch and enjoy.
It's easy to take a shitty song and make it good. But it's really difficult to take a great song and make it epic!!! Leo is really talented.
It's impossible not to headband to this
Just love it or I'll come back sitting standing in a fucking corner I thank you
Someone said sit how I stode so long my word
Ah, yes. H e a d b a n d
Leo never disappoints.
Ive headbanded to his cover over song 2 many times. ;)
I would still LOVE to see you do a cover of "Gotye - Somebody that I used to know"
Yes! That would be awesome
+Ryan Hosier Jonathan Young did it. Check it out. pretty good cover
+Max Pinto Jonathan Young cover is amazing
I'd prefer to see State of the Art, it is a MUCH better song.
i do cover
Leo, man I was so worried about how you were gonna handle the end of this song, being that younger people are a big part of your audience. I have to say that I was very happy you went ahead and did it and didn't compromise the integrity of the song. Good job dude!
Yeah! Censoring Rage would be like eating pizza with pineapple, you just don't do that. Then there's VEVO..
Its a majior part of the song to me the song stands for standing up for what you believe in and not letting anyone stand in your way
This song is anti-KKK.
Cobradriver99 They will obviously miss intellectual giants such as yourself as a fan. 10-1 you couldn't provide even the simplest description of "commie" if anyone asked you point-blank on the street.
Pat Tulsa it seems to be worryingly common to be at the wrong end of a gun held by a "commie"
OMG why is he so underated???? He is amazing!!!! I loved everything about this cover including his performance, I honestly think he should be way more recognized , Love him and all the covers he does, he brought sexxxy back to metal! 👍😎❤️
Norway is a small country (5 mill+) It takes time to get international fame from there.
The man is insanely awesome totally underestimated he can kick ass as much as anyone I've seen and is so versatile its insane
How is this underrated it has millions of views
She isn't talking about the song. She is talking his notoriety around the world.
4.4mil seems like a decent amount of people know about him but I tell people about frog leap and Leo all the time
One of the most badass riffs in rock ever and he made it just a tad better.
this one is ctually the first one i found the original better out of tousands of his covers ^^
egolos [Dj / Techno live sets] This is one those songs when no cover is better than the original... if’s an awesome cover but in my opinion, no one can replicate the meaning/feeling of the original.
@@tamasvarga67 I feel the ending of Leo's cover has more energy than the original though: it makes me want to just jump around and break shit.
@@TheSuicidalBird yes I agree I like this better than the original, the energy was off the charts 🤟
You nailed that solo! Morello is hard to replicate.
the cult of personality living colour
YYYEEESSSS!!!!!!!
That would be sick af. Good thought brother.
I'm with Rick Sanchez...plz do this.
That solo is killer
uuh gta sa and guitar flash song.. great pick
My god the riff at 5:12
I need more of that!
I was 19 when this was released in 1991, 46 now, brilliant cover as always Leo. \m/
This guy should be more famous than he is! So talented
This. Was. Brilliant.
Oh. Yes. Indeed.
Who the hell dislikes a good cover
pseutube maybe they got scared of the eyes 👀
Because it is an IDENTIC cover! This version isn't heavier, has no additional breaks, ... the only change are the vocals, ... but is this better??
Leo is the real deal! He does goofy covers of songs, his versions are at least as good as the original!
Bravo, Leo!
That ending though!
Smashed it once again bro :-)
Thanks man:)
Bea!!!!
Crazy Horses by the Osmonds. Check it out, you all would crush it.
2:30
"dough le die or justify, wearing a batshit the grudge alright"
Jokes aside, love the cover!
P
Thought I was the only one that heard it
Dolan died, justified, wearing a batshit construction wide
This made me lol
Sinan493 LOL
That riff on the verses is one of my favorites of all time, and I didnt think that it could get any heavier than it already was
Leo's talent & creativity knows no bounds, truly amazing!
You seriously just made me dust off my bass. Literally. Thank you.
Great to hear, bass on:)
This ^
Man I would pay good money to see you in concert ! You rock!
@but why I second this...
U R not alone thumbs up
@but why He took some good friends of him and started his own band: Frog Leap! Saw them on Wacken Open Air 2019 at 2 a.m. and the crowd exploded! It was a blast! I could not see my favourite band due to an exam, but Leo saved my festival!
Isn't rock, just metal
@Shawn Patricio Wacken, Germany
This cover is so damn good. He nailed it, like many of his covers.
I actually broke out the air guitar and just accidentally hit my kid in the head. Music so epic you beat your kids.
😂👏👏👏
Oh damn hope your child laugh about it now
seems normal
"I said 'start headbanging!'"
I'm surprised (***CZcams***) didn't flag that and shut down for a day to "fix the problem" while they dispose of you silently and efficiently... Job well done.
hey next do a metal cover of The Sound Of Silence
I don't think it suits him
fuck you I won't do what you tell me
ukulele version
Actually, before Disturbed i would have thought that would've been a great Idea. But after they Released this Amazing Cover i do not think anyone will ever come close again.. (Despite the Original of Course :D)
Well Nevermore already did a better one, almost 10 years ago!
Not enough cowbell!
H A II Z Y lol
MORE COWBELL!!!!!!
Snuff cowbell is a mythical beast, like unicorns ?& virgins
Dear god, it's been a long time since i've listened to this song. Normally i feel it to my bones, but this goest straight to the marrow... Shivers
He makes all those songs alive! Dude I love this!
Bohemian Rhapsody!! I love everything you've ever done and can't understand why you haven't covered this!?!? DO IT!!!
"FUCK YOU I WON'T DO WHAT YOU TELL ME!!!! UGH!!"
No one can do that song any better than queen did it
Pentatonix did a great remake of Bohemian Rhapsody, pretty cool for being acapella.
James Price between the buried and me nailed it
Because bohemian rhapsody is a blend of ballad, opera and hard rock. You can't fit all of those in metal alone and make it sound good enough
Do Killer Queen!
fuck you I won't tell mw
fuck yeah! we gotta make that happen.
Didn't you hear him? He won't do what you tell him?
Oh, man, that would be perfect
No, bohemian rhapsody!!!!
You know .... This is my absolute favorite song ever, of all time... Always.. And I'm 50 friggin years old.. Lol.
I've always said that if I ever got married again, this would be the song.
Right? I am 45 and you should see me at WORK in the office listening to this on my headphones banging head and s#IT LOL LOL 😂 🤟😎
@@paulaisela333 I was just thinking the other day that I should be a grandma by now, and how funny would it be if a kid said, ""My grandma listens to Rage against the machine""... Lol.
LOL I know, I have 2 grown kids one is 23 and the younger is 20 , and they see me jumping around like I am 20 in the kitchen while I cook LOL 😂
But hey being a granny and listen to RATM is bad @$$ , you would be the coolest granny.
@@paulaisela333 Yeah, I just thought it would be kind of funny.. Lol. My son Jason always got into the same music that I did, he also played guitar. People couldn't believe that he was so good to be so young.... He was killed in a car accident in 2005, when he was almost 16. That's what I meant by never being a grandma... And I find myself being a little jealous of grandparents.. Didn't mean to bring you down or anything... It was just a thought I had.. Lol.
Can't get enough of his versions
Love rage against the machine, but you bro, made justice to this song. Like injecting steroids.
1.25 speed,,,way better
Yeah agree!
@@beckymartin12 1,25 sounds like punk rock
I just read "Love against the machine" ;-)
Lol badass bro
Flock Of Seagulls: I Ran "So Far Away"
omg yes
^This
Yes!!!!
That would be awesome.
Yesssssss
This tune really needed Leo´s touch. Got so much better. Love it
Literally brought a tear to my eye. So good. Thank you.
Just when I thought this song was metal enough...
5 second timer to skip the ad on a 5 second ad....
Great fucking job, google.
That's a good advertising strategy
yet you can't skip the 30 second ones
All ads should be 5 seconds..
I did not know that it could just keep getting better and better!!!
Your presence and energy are amazing. Love all your stuff.
Your version just hits the spot. I just listened to the original which is iconic to many of us. But you pushed it a level higher. I love your channel!
This song sounds absolutely the same but slower because killing in the name is already a metal song
only this has been Leoized...lol
and with a better sounding guitar because Leo is capitalist enough to buy good gear.
He calls any cover with distortion metal I believe
No the original version was Punk
no the original was nu metal
That thumbnail gave me chills for real.
As a Rage fan since they hit the scene, I approve this version sir. Keep shredding!
wait I'm confused. How do you do a metal cover of a metal song?
Erm... Rage against the machine aren't metal. Takes more that a bit of distortion to be metal.
+krulty there are different styles of metal
+Jake B I'm aware. I listen to most. But Rage aren't metal. They are a fusion style of funk, punk and rock. They have inspired a lot of metal. But they themselves aren't metal.

+krulty I've always thought of RATM as a funk/rap metal band myself. They're obviously not on the level Carcass or Napalm Death or even Destruction, but I've always thought they were heavy enough to be considered metal.
Very, very fat tone, and riff-modifications! A joy, thanks!
the outro is awesome U2 style from the eighties, when I somehow liked them... ;-)
Your showmanship is second to none. Bravo
This metal won’t rust. You take every great song to a new level! Even “man of constant sorrow “, “greased lightning “ “hot stuff” ....it’s just insanely fantastic!!!🤪
rage against the machine is the best and im absolutely thankfull for that
4th reich Jarl exactly
I've been waiting for a metal version of rage's song that I loved and now I've found it!!!!!! That's brother
You did justice to one of my favorite songs from my favorite band. Thank you, Leo!
I love Leo for all his covers and all his work.. But this song, no one in the world will ever make it sound better than the original. contiue ur very good work, you are ace Leo!
like original wasn't metal enough :)
Now it is
stupid_sleazoid 2 Omg ratm are not metal
TheLazyOne00 I dunno. Leo made it heavier for sure, but wiki says genres: Rap metal, Funk metal, Rap rock, Alternative metal
pure metal? okaaaay :-)
Any song with a pitchshifter is metal.
Yeah I said it.
LOL, so many comments saying "...but this is already metal.' I never really considered Rage metal. They're more hardcore meets funk meets hip hop.
Rage is rap metal.
Rage is funk/rap/metal
With a punk message
stuart crowe obviously you don’t understand the message and history of what Rage raps about.
@@Bigfish1day lol seriously renegades of funk people
The music talent is so obvious but what intrigues me as well is Leo's video skills. Gonna buy me some of your gear.
the head-bang worthiness is strong with this one
A cover of Limp Biskit "Nookie" or "Pollution" please :)
please no
nookie!!!
Or "Break Stuff"
my first thought was limp bizkit at hearing this song :D
break stuff plzz
Goddamn it Leo! One person shouldn't have this much talent let alone effect pedals!
\m/,
This dude is super happy, makes this whole set up look easy!!
You LEONIZED Rage against the machine, great work!!!
Lol@ that drum set. Amazing video.
Sempre fico surpreso com suas versões, gostaria de ver uma com música brasileira, abraços!!!
At the beginning I felt it wasn't angry enough (it's rage after all) thanks for proving me wrong by the end. Great job!
O melhor cover que já assistir, parabéns.
Those videos are a work of art!
I have listened to this at least 10 times.
Fucking brilliant.
Total genius, such a performer, lovin it
Awesome!!! Great energy, vocals, playing and tone
YOU ROCK BUDDY,
SO MUCH TALENT
KEEP ON .....Rocking
That’s was absolutely fantastic .really nice job.
Only Leo can take a metal song and transform it into an adamantium song!🤟🤟🔥🔥
Leo you rock!!!!!!🤟💪💪💪
Killing in the Name Of isn't a metal song.
How can one person have so much talent?
One of your best, loved it.
next ,war pigs metal cover.
Deepak DEFINATELY!!
Hell yeah. That would be awesome
Black Sabbath is metal. How do you metalise a already metal track?
Are we unaware that War Pigs already is a metal song? I mean I suppose he could his overused vocal effects and his sometimes bizarre and misplaced interludes but it already is metal.
I've been listening to Leo for years.... how did I miss this one? FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
Never found a better cover until I listen to this.
I don't know how you were able to add just a bit more intensity to THAT SONG. ??0_0??
What the hell kind of magic shit are you smokin anyway?
You constantly walk the tightrope between doing something in an underwhelming, or disrespectful, or insincere way and nailing that shit like you own it.
You NAILED THAT SHIT LIKE YOU OWN IT. ...again!
Great job! Amazing!
Thanks
I love your voice Leo Moracchioli
scarleth bathory wow so beautiful love u pic .
Nice 😊😎
THAT was freaking awesome. Couldn't turn it up loud enough!!!
one of my favorite songs. You so rocked it. NEVER quit rocking!!!!!!!!!!! cant wait to see you and your fam rock together. NEVER QUIT!!!! rock on.
Genius ...
Best cover ever !!!
I just love you, man. This was off the charts cool.
Amazing!!! better than the original ,in my opinion of course.
Nothin`more to say like "absolutley great cover!!!" ❤️Leo !!
the outro is a hilarious contrast. awesome music as always!
Wow SUCH A GREAT COVER!!!
Always loved the original RAGE version. This is pretty solid. Nice job!
Love all your songs ! You rock !!!!
The intensity is just terrifyingly awesome
this is by FAR my favorite cover you've done, I've come back and watched it so many times and never get tired of it.
you can't do a metal cover of a metal song.
Leo: observe
THERE NOT METAL!!$
Leo: Watch me xD
I think that you are correct! Can you spoof a spoof or do country version of a country song?
By far the best cover you have done! Love the sound of the vocals! Much better than the usual canned sound! Cheers Leo!
Nice all the way around with this one. Especially nice with the solo as Morello isn't easy to cover. You covered one of my favorites of all time and to that I say thank you Leo. You definitely did Rage some justice and then some... you're awesome!!!
