Siri says "Finder hasn't added support for that with Siri" when I ask her to "open file x" or "open folder a". How do fix that? I"m using the latest OSx Monterey.

What issue were you having trying to customize the shortcut? Try to use one of the defaults if you can to avoid conflicts with other keyboard shortcuts.
@@macmost System Preferences>Siri & hold/command space is my Spotlight shortcut. When I chose customize from dropdown menu, took me to new screen and says, "type keys now". Anything I typed did not appear in that window. So I went back to keyboard shortcut and chose one of the 3 options. So the customize feature was not working for me.
What are you asking Siri when that happens? Note that this video is from 2020 and things have changed as there have been two major updates to macOS since then.

Nothing you can do. Siri can't do that in Monterey.

Yes, this was removed from Siri at some point.
Voice activated "Hey Siri" is not available on my 2019 iMac. "Hey Siri" does not work and it is not listed in the Siri preferences.
turn on the microphone (presuming you have one) first? [System Prefs / Sound / Input]
