Hi, Josh. I had to write this long time ago but still. I would like to convey my sincere thanks to you. You can't imagine how great your help was. I've been preparing for the TOEFL exam for 4 months, haven't slept for that period of time. I suffered from lack of resources and information. But then I suddenly found your channel and you guides, tips etc. I've watched almost everything you released here. Also, special thanks for your amazing templates. Finally I can comment🎉. My TOEFL journey was never an easy one but Thanks to Allah I got the required score to write my NCLEX Exam. I want to encourage all those working hard yet unable to get their dream score to keep pushing and never give up. Your time will come. I took the toefl many times and pass today on my fifth time all with the help of TST prep and E2 language. My score might not be attractive 88 [R=21, L23, S=26 W=18] but all that matters is it meets the requirements of my state. Thanks JOSH❤ you are a Champion. I FEEL GOOD 💃🏼💃🏼

Mine is on 2nd of March, and I'd like to earn higher scores, but it seems to me that my level is B2. I see my weaknesses, but I don't have enough time to prepare well. Hey Josh, thanks for the fruitful videos. Well appreciated. I have recently scored 87. Reading 15, listening 22, speaking 28, and writing 22. My range of vocabulary is decent, but one of my problems is that I can't focus and read when people around me talk loudly which is very normal in TOEFL test centers. Especially when no one starts the exam at the same time. People move on to different sections while I'm working on other sections and it distracts me a lot. I think this is a huge flaw in ETS test centers and they need to take it into consideration. As I suggested to them, at least they can provide some noise cancelling headphones for people who can't concentrate easily and they can overcharge them for that or give everyone this kind of headphones which makes the test more fair. Hope you read my message and tell me your idea. All the best.

Hello Josh, a college student subscriber passing by. My test was on March 2nd, and I had only one week to prepare a new template for Speaking and Writing sections. By watching tst prep videos and getting help from the guidelines, I scored 111/120 total (reading 30 listening 30 speaking 24 writing 27). Your videos had been an amazing help, I used to leave my sentences unfinished in speaking 😂 I could finally fix that in the real exam, thanks to your help.

Hi Josh, I received my toefl scores 6 days ago, I scored 86 (R:25, L:19, S:22, W20), although it is not a high score, it is the score I need. (I didn't time myself well in the listening section, wasn't used to the keyboard in the writing section, thats why......).

What if we write a template first and then keep inserting information in it? if we memorized the template so well I think it would save me time
Thank you for your question. Of course, this is one method you can use, but you need to make sure the template fits the topic and you have to be able to insert the information so it makes sense. Otherwise, yeah, go for it. :)

When students have trouble with typing speed I often recommend Key Hero - www.keyhero.com/, this site is specifically designed to help your typing speed and accuracy. Just 5-10 minutes a day and over a few weeks/months, it should improve.
Hi! It seems to be a problem with the link for "Writing for an Academic Discussion practice questions". When typing the URL I can find the questions but an error occurs... And, when clicking the link in the description I'm sent to the new TOEFL TestReady page and I can only find stuff to buy, no practice sets. Could you provide any comments on these matters? You have to create a free account on the ETS' site in order to access TOEFL TestReady. If you have any additional questions, it is better to contact ETS directly.
Im just wondering, how is the score calculated in the reading and listening sections with the new format? What if i need 22 for reading but the total # of items for reading was reduced to 20. How is that
Each section is still worth 30 points. Since the number of Reading questions has been reduced, the weight of each question has changed. However, ETS does not release the exact formula.

If you requested a paper copy of your score report before you took the test, it will be mailed 11-15 days after your test date, or sooner depending on how you took the test. In general, when students are at a lower level of proficiency and need a high score on the TOEFL (above 80), they should work on the basics of English first.
