  • Leaders of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger Reject ECOWAS To sign confederation treaty - Have you ever wondered what happens when nations break away from long-standing alliances to form new power blocs? Well, the recent actions of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger have sparked just such a scenario, shaking the foundations of the Economic Community of West African States, or ECOWAS.
The leaders of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger have recently signed a treaty to establish the Confederation of Sahel States, or CSS, effectively marking their exit from ECOWAS. It all began when the leaders of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger, countries plagued by political instability and recent military coups, decided to forge a new path by forming the Confederation of Sahel States. This decision came as a direct response to what they described as 'inhumane sanctions' imposed by the Economic Community of West African States, or ECOWAS.

Why not? ECOWAS and AU are Western backed organisations which have long failed to provide security and prosperity in Africa. They failed to take France to the UN or ICJ about the racist colonial tax imposed only on black African countries. They failed to decry about the exploitation of resources by France from these countries while the citizens suffer abject poverty. They failed to see how hard economic hardship was driving their citizens to take risky journeys to Europe. But they didn't fail to impose sanctions when these concerned military citizens rose up to take control of their countries to bring security and prosperity to their citizens.
Instead of ECOWAS being sensitive and sympathetic, it became hostile towards them.

Religious extremism and just the Western ideology of State and Religion marriage MUST be eradicated from Africa! We are tradition based people and it should be a marriage of State and Traditions that govern us.
