I haven't seen any firmware updates yet, and I don't expect many. It's a pretty simple device. I don't see a place to buy extra remote, but the product is still very new.

There are a few other choices in this space, but I'm impressed with this one.
I had a somewhat similar LaCrosse station -- it lacked only the wind direction and internet uploads. I never made full use of it, because I thought it was too much effort to mount all the different components. I ended up leaving the rain bucket and anemometer on my patio table, and they didn't last very long. Within a year, both were broken from having blown away in high winds. Bit the temp/humidity sensor is still going strong after >3.5 years on its original 2xAA batteries. And the base station connects to the NWS via Wifi to give me forecasts at a glance. Not bad.
First, you can set the backlight to go off after about 10 sec. hold the snooze button 3 sec. and the back light goes out, now when you press the snooze button it will come on for 10 sec.
Second, I am trying figure out how to Cal. the barometric pressure.

I'm at the one week mark now, I moved the indoor display out of line of sight of the bedroom, other than that its been working good.

I had an Accurite before this that cost more and delivered less, so I'd say yes.
Having ADHD doesn't help one bit. Do it 3 times and maybe the 4 time you'll get it right
@@temporarilyoffline I purchased the Tempest station after Ham Radio Concepts' video last year(?). It's almost double the price of yours, but it's an all-in-one unit, completely solar-powered. I only had to mount one device, and it's been awesome for the last 10 months or so. The only thing is that it doesn't have any moving parts -- it uses haptic and ultrasonic sensors to measure windspeed/direction and rainfall. I have no idea how accurate those measurements are.
Oh, it also indicates nearby lighting strikes... which is the main reason I bought it. I once watched the room light up with lighting, and my phone buzzed with the lighting notification just as the thunder rolled through a couple seconds later :)

I hate bad weather, too many trees up close to the house and geographically bad weather comes after bed time... can't sleep, can't go anywhere of value either. /shrug
