A true battle between life and death, absolutely beautiful
Unohana had to fight him kill him and make sure to fully healling both all the time ,she was doing the job of 2 person in this fight in the same time , all of that to awake zaraki shikai and his old power , also in the past she didnt used her bankai against kid zaraki and he was stronger then her a little little little bit , so for those who said she is weak and need to surpass zaraki kid first, u r wrong she surpassed him , she is in the lvl of zaraki shikai , just dont forget that she has to focus well in healing him so he wont die , and fighting him too which is insane
one thing that most bleach fans didn't understand in this battle; Unohana knew all the potential hidden in the kempachi, hence the decision to awaken it in this battle. She used the healing factor on both her and him, regenerating him whenever she put him in a state of death (yes, it would kill him thousands of times as shown in the fight), she preferred to sacrifice herself (which I think is stupid) to perfect her total skill from zaraki, giving a script for the character who already came from a powerful background, right.
I had a school teacher who had a very close resemblance to Retsu. she was like her in everyway. she would be so kind and sweet, but until she did the same thing Retsu did (that smile). she was the teacher of year 1-2 kids (under 5 years old). my school was a blend between Fairy Tail guild and the 13 court guard squads.

People tend to really underestimate what kind of monster Unohana is. Remember Zaraki, who literally folded 5th Espada, and proceeded to fold buttler on steroids, and after that same Zaraki who literally 3-0 Sternritters, whitch 1v1 most captains, only to get beaten by a literal last boss of the whole verse? Yeah, that same Zaraki have absolutely no single chance to just wound Unohana, not to mention beat her. At this point hes so on a Captain+ level, that only 4 shinigamy could fight him - being Unohana, Yamamoto, Ukitake and Kyoraku - and not even all of them are winning this fight. Hes basically at the top tier of the verse at that point, and only his reckless style of fighting stops him from beating even stronger opponents. And this person has no single chance to even get near Unohana.
She then proceeds to make him go through FEW powerups, all while absolutely destroying him and healing him from death wounds to full health with a flick of a finger in less than a second, and he still only "Gets closer to her level".
Oh, and thats her not even using shikai. Just bare zanpakuto. Not even using Kido, whitch i sure she not only knows but to a degree close to a Kido commander.
People tend to speak about how Yamamoto had to be deleted from every single arc just to not oneshot the whole deal himself, but that woman? She literally is that but on steroids. Unlike Yamamoto her bankai doesnt affect whole 10 kilometers with heat and flame, she COULD use it while having allies relatively close. Sacrificing her for Zarakis awakening was a wise move, but at the same time - very stupid. Whey could just use Inoue to revive her after that, and have 2 Zaraki-level combatants at the end of a war, but Kubo literally forgot Inoue exist for the last arc and how her powers work, so we have what we have.
All i know - she just was to busi healing people. If she was fighting in this war instead of this, Ywach would lose most of the sterns even before going to Palace, if he could go at all. If feeling Yamamotos bankai or death Unohana just got to his location, Ywach would have been folded on the spot. Especially if it was before Yamamotos death. Not only she could save him literally in second, she could tag-team with 1st commander, and that would be it. And even if Yamamoto was in no condidion to fight, im pretty sure Unohana stil wins Ywach 1v1 at this point. Not to mention she is probably the single person in the verse who could go against Yamamotos Bankai, with her powers.
Im just kinda sad that all logic of gotei as a military organisation was lost for her big reveal. Reveal was good, great even, but it was so wrong from the perspective of logic.
This battle is one of the best fights in bleach. AMV is excellent

The fight between these two was simple a correction to a mistake that should never have happened. The beast of Zaraki put itself in a cage because it was afraid of its own teeth. The cage is broken and the beast once again walks among the lambs.
she was killing him and healing again and again , the fading moments in manga are more described.
its also showing that rivers of blood in elden ring are not best

Only her shikai is for healling(so she can extand the battle) also she did train under Tenjiro(the 0squad guy with hot spring) and that's how she is so good at kaido(the healling power) and also Kenpachi is always a title they explain it in the og anime
