Also, just as a heads up, when mitsu activates her effect to flip a ninja to negate a monster effect, she actually flips it into defense position. So if you flip a tobari, you can avoid having an attack position 0 attack monster.

With the dancing leaves you could have brought out the Jioh to Dup to lvl 8 to get kagero/hanzo, mitzu, and 2 tobari, because you dont have to activate the jioh effect on summon so you can save his effect for the summon with meizen.
Hanzo wont miss timing from dancing or dup as long as they are chain link one because the summon is that last thing that happens or happens at the same time as the tribute by effect of dancing.

Your tobaris actually have their effects negated in game two because of scareclaw kashtira, they do die by battle.

Tobari is actually a lingering effect, like Spirit of Neos. If it "was" SS this turn. Not a continuous effect.

It is not, spirit of neos activates and resolves in hand and gains the lingering effect, tobari is a continuous effect that can be negated.
