In the second episode of the second season of House of the Dragon, we saw Aemond mention how much he regretted what happened to Lucerys, and it would seem that he is not the villain many thought he would be.

From the beginning, Rhaenyra doesn't want the throne because she know that the Seven Kingdoms would not bow down to a Queen just like what happened to Rhaenys before.
Aegon is just gaslighting himself to justify what he has done. He has the intention to kill Lucerys because of the bullying and the lost of his eye.

Everyone, including me, have said,"in the book", but really i find i'm forgetting what happened in he book! These series are based on, not the written book! And i am now enjoying it so much more! Anything can happen and motivations aren't really known. Even george. Rr martin said you don't know what did or didn't really happen since it was written by biased maesters! I like aemond! His character isn't a complete psycho!

Again, I like Rhaenyra team. But I'd like to remark about Rhaenyra's miscarriages. Every time they tell her that the Queen mum was cursing the babes in Rhaenyra's belly. I think she miscarried twice. The last one I think in S2E2 or E3 and she delivers a baby girl that was seriously deformed. The comments about a new character that is in the books, and will she appear in the episodes with 'insights'. That what made me think about how Alicent is said to speak evil or curses the babies in her womb and then she loses them.
Is Rhaenyra's family Team Black? Based on on Daemon's armor color.
I guess Alicent would be Team White based on the castle guard's use of the white cloaks?
Just what is in store with Daemon setting out to bring some sort of mischief with his dragon, against Rhaenyra's pleas. I got binge the series again to pick up more points.
Like the rats in the castle. Why are the rats coming up stairs? Is something driving the rats out of the dark recesses of the castle? Is there something preying on the rats? Or is it the infestation of rats evidence of a more sinister nature of the nobles of castle keep?
Like I've said, I don't read the books, though my adult son does. I could start to read them. I just prefer to watch, then pick my son's brain later. LOL.

Idt you have to have been Targaryen to kill the Night King. I think with any Valerion steal blade he could’ve died. Jon just never got a slice at him. And considering that was an ancient blade coming from Old Valeria and with the prophecy, that one is reaching, printed on it is what killed him. It just took a Targaryen prince/princess to unite the kingdoms

Amonde is bigger and older with a huge dragon. He should have known better as he is stronger. He was wrong. He should not have choked luceris and he would not have lost his eye.
They are Targaryen, they are just not Velaryon. But they still came from a Targaryen bloodline.
