    You don't need any HPB stone underneath? I live in a cold climate, and I'm worried about heaving. Great work, by the way. What do you charge per foot?

    Very informative video - thanks! We are having this done next week in Indiana. We have large mature trees. Have you encountered tree routes in your prep?

    • @creativecurbing
      @creativecurbing  Před 2 měsíci +1

      We have, small Roots we cut, big roots we do not. It's a large tree just make sure you're giving it plenty of space.

    Nice work, I have seen those continuous curb machines around, that is a very attractive upgrade. Do they make forms for various profiles? I think I might like something a little lower on the grass side that I could hang the mower deck over. Could always dig it down too.

      Look on Google for "curbing mower edge". We're doing a mower edge job on Wednesday and I'll post the video Thursday.

      @@creativecurbing Thanks for the speedy reply, will check it out. Looks like you guys are in Texas?? Wish you were local to me here in Washington state.
      How is this type of work typically priced? Guessing by the foot with up charges for the color and stamping?

    • @creativecurbing
      @creativecurbing  Před 3 měsíci

      You can't do it below freezing unfortunately. Up north, they only curb about half the year.

    Where do you put the drains on the curbing? Wont it hold water like a pool if there is no drainage cut into the curb?

    • @creativecurbing
      @creativecurbing  Před 3 měsíci

      If they have (or plan to) put gutters in, we don't put drains. I do bring it up with all of our clients and they get to decide

  • @kodywillnauer9422
    @kodywillnauer9422 Před 2 lety +3

    As a single piece of concrete do you add any rebar or cut points for strength or controlling cracks? I assume the trowel punctures and vertical grooves were enough. Nifty machine.

    • @creativecurbing
      @creativecurbing  Před 2 lety +3

      You're exactly correct. Every few feet we throw a crack joint in by making a cut in the curb then rolling it. Unfortunately, due to the process, we aren't able to put rebar, but we do add fiber mesh to every load.

      It will eventually crack at the joint lines. That's why we put them in, just like a sidewalk or driveway. By putting the joints in, it makes the crack less noticable. We have curbing that has been put down for 15 years that still looks great
