In this clip, Michael Jai White responded to some of the criticism aimed at him over his comments about the Shaolin Monks. He spent the rest of the time reacting to the racist tweets directed at him by MMA fighter Mike Perry over Michael's last VladTV interview where he spoke on Kimbo Slice. Michael said that he wasn't worried about Mike Perry until he called him a "b**** a** n****." He said that it's beneath him to actually fight someone like Mike Perry who lacks skill and mental acuity but admitted that things will be "interesting" if they ever cross paths. - Zábava

I have been in "the Fight Game" as a Pro Kickboxer for 28 years, 1974-2002. No Champion or Top Contender can fight every disrespectful fighter in the world to "prove" who is the best. It is very easy for anyone, like Mike Perry, to "badmouth" someone and make claims of being a superior fighter. As the WKA Lightheavyweight World Champion from 1980-1990, I only fought Contenders or fighters that had a proven track record of success and status as Pro Kickboxers. Michael has a positive opinion of his abilities and confidence is an essential ingredient in success in the ring. If you think you will lose, you should not be fighting. Belief in oneself is a good thing as long as you avoid unrealistic "overconfidence". I think Michael has all the qualities to be an excellent competitor, physical skills, genetic advantages, desire, training, strength of will, ie. mental toughness,-pain tolerance, etc. But, "the proof of the pudding is in the eating" and we will never know what kind of legacy he could have established as a Kickboxer, boxer, or MMA Fighter. He is already past his prime years as an athlete and it would be unfair to judge him by anything he does today. The "bottom line" is Michael is a VERY talented Martial Artist and Actor as his success's in both Arena's proves and there is no need for him to be coerced-tricked into fighting ANYONE. His obvious skills and the quality of his character indicates to me that he would have been an excellent competitor-fighter in whatever Martial Arts competitions he dedicated himself to win. Just the opinion of a former World Kickboxing Champion......Don "The Dragon" Wilson ps I am not unbiased because I consider Michael to be my trusted friend and have nothing but the best wishes for him.

But by the time you get to that level of wisdom....yes, he's a good martial artist, and he has a warriors spirit and flexibility, but this does not translate into raw optimized scientific fighting ability grown from intense hours and days of precise training coupled with numerous times in a raw fight competitive scenario and the fight IQ experience that comes with it. Nor the post mortem analysis of those fights. That specific particular aspect is vastly different. Its quite similar to how shaolin monks have developed their art from generations of balance and traditional motifs, yet most would get easily ruined in a competitive combat sport environment. Because their training in not tailored to that. It is more holistic. Perry is a sharp blade. A laser, specifically made for bloody mortal fist infused violence. Its nothing personal.

The difference is that being a samurai was hereditary. Even before it was, it has to revolve around a feudal political system. Being a shaolin monk is basically just someone who trains at the Buddhist temple and adheres to a set of principles. It's not a right that you're born into.

I have a friend who champions Steven segal as the end all be all fighter and I have to tell him. He might know how to fight to an extent but that man is a performer. He swears up and down he's passing crucial knowledge on to fighters that secures victories for those fighters. My friend quoted a kick move that someone did in UFC, and said steven segal gave him the advice on how to kick. Within seconds I had a video where that fighter said "He did have anything to do with that, he tried to tell me how to kick and I just ignored him." My friend wont hear it.

Joe, Mike Stone and Chuck Norris ALL came to Bruce Lee's house to train with Bruce and learn from him so they could take their abilities to the next level. After learning from Bruce they all went on to achieve their greatest successes in their professional fight careers. Joe Lewis said that Bruce Lee was the greatest martial artist of All-Time and that Bruce hit with the power of a Heavyweight Fighter and had speed that was beyond anything he'd ever seen. Joe Lewis is 1 of the few fighters that had actually defeated Chuck Norris... when Bruce filmed "Way of the Dragon" where he fights Chuck Norris he was at his All-Time Physical Peak and weighed 147lbs, Bruce Lee was 5'7.5" tall. When Bruce died he was severely dehydrated and in ill condition so his 125lbs bodyweight should not be used in his standing or statistics. If Joe Lewis and Chuck Norris who are 2 of the most bad ass Karate fighters of All-Time say that Bruce was the Real Deal and that he would've done very well in MMA then who are WE to disagree or dispel?
So I agree with Don the the Dragon here that Michael Jai doesn't have anything to prove. He is a skilled martial artist that was so skilled he caught the eye of the right people for the big screen but he was a very skilled points fighter. Many kickboxers transitioned from points fighting to full contact and UFC fighters use to come from various disciplines and had to make adjustments to their fight game because more tools are needed in the mixed martial art game. Had Michael gone into the full contact game and worked on mix martial arts skills for the octagon, I have no doubt that he could have been a force to be reckoned with.
I liked Kimbo but Kimbo wasn't a skilled fighter but he had a good platform to build on and I know his camp was working on his ground game before he passed. Any professional should always have advantages over those that aren't because when you do something for a living a lot of time is invested in perfecting that craft but dont you think for a minute that they're aren't some bar room brawlers that wont give a black belt or a pro fighter hell.
