🤷‍♀️ What is the University College Dublin Students' Council and what do they do?
🌍UCDSU advocates on behalf of UCD students to defend their interests, both on-campus and in wider society.
🤝They offer a range of in-person and online supports and services.
Here are your current Officers and the role they play at UCD:
🌟President - Martha
Martha leads the political direction of the UCDSU. She liases with University management and staff to amplify the voices of students. She's responsible for ensuring that the UCDSU's work has an impact at both a local and national level.
🌟Campaigns & Engagement Officer - Miranda
Miranda is responsible for the organisation, coordination, and implementation of UCDSU campaigns locally and nationally. Her role is to keep students informed about how national issues are developing and how they relate to student interests.
🌟Graduate Officer - Marc
Marc is responsible for all postgraduate student academic and welfare support matters. He is also responsible for improving the student experience on the Smurfit campus.
🌟Education Officer - Sarah
Sarah is in charge of the academic affairs of the Union. She sits on committees and boards that govern the direction of the University in relation to education matters and ensures that students' voices are heard.
🌟Welfare Officer - Jill
Jill is in charge of all the issues that pertain to student wellbeing. This involves providing information and running impactful campaigns on issues like housing, mental health supports, physical health supports and accessibility.
🌟Entertainment Officer - Neo
Neo is the lead on all UCDSU events; big and small, on and off campus. He leads on creating activities and collaborating with various societies, clubs, internal and external bodies to bring the social aspect of college life to students.
