It just mean she cant lock into his fate and look into it, but can sorta predict the traveler as he is a moving blank of information. So Mona is observing the traveler as a moving anomaly basically. Mona is an astrologer who can use constellations of a person to 'predict' the future of that person...
But we have seen many instances when she has used her scryglass for looking into the information of a place as well (for example GAA2 event story quest)..
I wanna know how she can do that at all.. i might also be overthinking this but imagine how crazy it would be if even places have a constellation.. or... Does she have direct access to Irmensul..
OR ANYWHERE THERRS WATER or hydro... She can sample them (?) like, i think her having a hydro vision (water reflects time and evolution, can store memories) plus having abilities like hiding underground with her sprint, creating a decoy to escape or keeping 'obstacles' stationary or 'seals their fate' through her burst... Which is her entire kit, makes a lot of sense now..

@@notraidenshogun8324 If I had to guess, it's probably something as simple as "reading the stars." While the sky itself may be fake, it still displays the constellations of every individual living in Teyvat. All Mona would need to do is have a way to observe the stars in the sky in greater detail to then "predict" the future. Mona was an astrologist long before she gained her hydro vision. I'd wager her hydro vision helped amplify her ability to view stars in greater detail (similar to a telescope).
For her predictions, she might have gained insight into aspects of star placement in relation to the rest of the stars in the sky through constantly looking at different constellations and finding patterns. Stuff like attributing a fading star in a constellation to potentially an early death of the associated person or seeing two stars moving slightly closer together as an indicator of a meeting between two people in the near future.

I like this idea because then that fits in with the four shades being descenders. And the idea that the twins were shades of Light/Darkness, Sustainer of Heavenly Principles being the shade of Space, and istraroth the forgotten shade of time, could've been "forgotten" because someone erased all of their irminsul data.
But that part wouldnt go with what we know since everything including text would replace istraroth from it ( whichever enkonamiya book had its name i dont remember) unless enkanomya isn't affected by irminsul which then would sustain its name from staying in those texts.
another thing that would ruin the idea of the descenders being the 4 would be aloy, idk if its confirmed but alot of people theorize if she classifies as a descender.
Also I think the seelie were the Civ that fell during the war of the second throne, and I think they were the kingdom mentioned that was spread across all of teyvat

yeay i quietly theorize with this too cause sometime i just think that traveler could be related to the four shades of primordial one which he has related to the entity of istaroth which being describe in raiden ei story quest part 2... Cause the traveler who descends always medle with everybody quest especially world quest ... it is frustrating to think for such a long time that i discover the similarity with the primordial one pattern which is stated in the book before sun and moon about when there is poverty, he will pour wealth from the ground (not the same text but literal meaning) and the traveler amends from every world quest that he made.

*"When you're sick, a doctor can diagnose you because they are you. When something goes wrong, you can ask people who've made the same mistake for their experience, because you are them."*
Albedo said that the traveler isn't that different from a regular human or himself so traveler is similar to the citizens as well as a human made of chalk.
I think we should keep more in mind what Albedo says especially since he's trying to find out the truth and similar to the Archons and Mona he understands things about them that others don't.

I actually have a theory about the "Abyss Twin" that ties to an older theory of yours. You once mentioned that Albedo was possibly an attempt to recreate Aether and Lumine, which I think you called the "Primordial Human" project. Well, what if Gold succeeded? The Abyss Twin might not actually be our twin, but the successful *clone* of our twin. This would explain why they went on two different journeys, only one of which featured Dainsleif, and it would explain why they're so closely aligned with Khanriah and regard it as a homeland. Plus it explains why their account with Irminsul suddenly appeared in Khanriah of all places, since that would be where and when they were created.
It raises the question of "what happened to the missing sibling" but I think the Traveler's actions help explain that a bit. They don't regard their sibling as having defected, but as having been "taken by the abyss." And they keep putting up missing person posters and having people help search for their sibling despite their sibling supposedly being able to join up with the Traveler at any time and choosing not to. If they suspect, even only partially, that the Abyss Twin isn't their actual sibling, then they may believe that their actual sibling is still out there somewhere, and if they were "taken by the Abyss" then I think that the Abyss itself is the most likely location.

    • @notraidenshogun8324
      @notraidenshogun8324 Před rokem +143

Your theory is indeed a possibility.. it could be very much viable that abyss twin is rather a clone of the traveller and not an actual sibling..
But Albedo has never mentioned of Gold, his master who created him , susbedo and durin.. on having made another project.
Albedo and susbedo were her only humanoid projects she worked on.. anything she would've made wouldve been AFTER she had made Albedo.. meaning, Albedo should've known..
Gold already considered Durin a success though.. it was not her main project! But the reason it went wild was likely because of coming in contact with the divine knowledge. Ashikai also mentioned this in her first video (of this series).
I personally think that Traveller and abyssal twin are actually indeed twins. In this video, ashikai said that the twins are actually from the unified civilization... which i actually agree and many theories about the siblings now make sense..
The unified civilization never worshiped any other god apart from the Primordial one... Until the second throne came and everything was under destruction and people fled their homeland.. or died.
It also makes sense why The abyssal twin says ' resurrect their homeland' .. to her kindreds/ followers who happen to be from Khaenria'h. And we know that unified civilization possibly consisted Khaenria'h and enkanomiya (+other underground nation's we haven't explored yet ingame). There are also many refs ashikai mentions in her video about the 'twin' refs being valid and correct since there's morning star and evening stars. So the traveller twins are indeed most likely twins..
But YKNOW.. hoyo could pull something like what u theorised ... To make it more sad. That the traveller's actual sibling is dead and gold created another project .. but it's less likely. I don't think we have a lot of info to think of this possibility yet. Maybe when we meet Gold in person the water will be clear...
Edit: Folks, i think i have cracked the code on why traveller siblings are like albedo, perfect and artificial.
The art of Khemia which is a Khaenria'hn art... from which albedo has been made, is a (now) forbidden form of art. We also know Raiden Shogun/ SCARAMOUCHE was also made in a similar fashion but with wood instead of chalk, using the 'unknown' technology from Khaenria'h (as Ei story states)
I was wondering, what if the twins were already a bio-artificial beings. Not created by Gold, but by Phanes or one of his 4 shades.
It could very well be isteroth who created 'humanity'
What if, most being in the monarch of Phanes were created in a similar fashion so they 'dont die'. As humans were fragile creatures, artificial Humanoids would have been unified civilization's orignal technology... Which, Khaenria'h is a part of.
Makes sense why Celestia (the second who came) would wanna destroy Khaenria'h. 'advanced technology' they said... As the twins are from unified civilization, they were artificially made.. we likely know for what purpose tho, to not be fragile like normal humans, artificial ones must be sturdier and has very less affect of 'passing of time' on their body as they are artificial. Co-aligns with the fact that they want to bring their homeland back, not just Khaenria'h but entirety of the unified civilization.
This debunks the idea of Gold making the sibling or whatnot. As gold creating the sibling already doesn't make sense due to timeline of the events.
This is just a theory tho, A GAME theory!... Ehe
If i dig up further possibilities, I'll edit my comment

@@notraidenshogun8324 Good points gonna go ahead and throw some stuff out know that you have me thinking.
Tthough Albedo was a success, we don’t know for sure he is the final outcome for what Gold wanted or just her proof of concept for later work. Also if you look at it from a science angle, you do not just end it off with one success. You repeat the experiment over and over to make sure the resulting outcome is actually replicable before being certain of your findings. If she is has the mindset of a researcher, then more than one successful being is plausible. Something else to consider is that Albedo and the possible Lumine replica are two paths that can come from whatever Gold means by making primordial humans. One is making independent beings, the other is recreating what has been lost to history.
On another note, if the twins are truly twins, meaning one is not a copy, then they either are both natives or both started out as descenders. They should not have different statuses but they do. On the former, we cannot confirm if you can stop being a native and become foreign to tevyat. We also have to note that, as far as we know, that lost data cannot be recovered at this time and the people who want to know that lost time have to speculate from the fiction that the tree missed and the little details it did not edit. If the twins we born natives then they would have been affected by the wipe as natives. As for them starting out as descenders, those don’t become natives over time. The previous descenders, who have been there longer than 500 years ago, are still marked as such.
We also have to consider why specifically the sustainer said an “arrogation of man” and stopped them from leaving. Why take only one twin but lock up the other? There was a clear difference between the twins from the beginning and the possibility that the abyss one may not be the person that descended onto teyvat could explain it. If it was a matter of what the other twin experienced, then they should have been gone way longer than the traveler had. Yet the existence of the abyss order implies they have been running around for a long time. If the crime was grave enough to literally be take away, then how were they out so early? We also should consider if the sustainer would have ever let the twin get away. She just sort of left the traveler where he was, making it plausible to be gotten out, but she took the other somewhere. Previous Abyss twin theories have been working on the idea that they got away but what if they never left containment? What if the sustainer still has them?
Anyway food for thought, sorry this is a lot I’m dumping here.

I’m so glad that you have the same line of thinking that I do. I think the twins are directly from the the civilization created by the Primodial one. If you notice the ruins at Dragonspine and on Ruu’s island, there is always three main figures, a tall man, and two crowned figures below him, being worshipped by other humans. IMO Khanriah were survivors of the war between the Primodial one and Celestia that fled underground, the way Enkanomiya was sunk into the ocean, and was removed from Celestia’s sight. Difference is that Khanriah knows Celestia overthrew or imprisoned the Primodial one, while Enkanomiya didn’t. I also think that Celestia created the Abyss. We know that they cursed the Khanriahian to become abyss beasts, but we also know pre-curse from the Ruin Gollem that Khanriah was fighting the Abyss, so who were the people who were cursed before Khanriah? I think it was the Primodial Ones people. I also think that the twins were cast out of Teyvat, either by the Primodial one to save them, or by Celestia. The Traveler has nightmares about falling in darkness. I think their world traveling was to find Teyvat again. What if the opening sequence is actually when Celestia showed up, in Teyvat thousands of years ago, and not 500 years ago like the traveler thinks? Anyhow just my thoughts.

It was also very strange that the abyss sibling uses the title of "princess/prince". I mean it could have been anything else but why a royal title? Also why not queen or king? Maybe because they found the truth about themselves being the rightful heirs to the throne of Teyvat and now go by their title of birth.

ASHIKAI I REALLY REALLY HOPE YOU READ THIS COMMENT cause I found it interesting when you said that Kairos could be a Moon and later I found some fascinating info:
(It's quite long so I actually thank anyone who's willing to read the hole thing and tell me what they think about my theory)
Kairos in Greek mythology is a God of Time, but it's not the only one, Chronos is another very common name that everyone knows already and there is also Aion (actually there is a 4th one, but it represents a year on Earth so I think it's slightly out of place in thsi context).
Kairos represents time in the form of a specific moment, it's “the right moment for something to happen” it's like a section of time in which there is a focus for something important or specific to happen and that you have to grasp, otherwise you just miss it.
    Kairos is “The Present”
Chronos represents time in its chronological order, it's the passage of time, the sequence of moments, if you were to record it you would call it “history”.
    Chronos is “The Past”
Aion represents the eternal time, the concept of eternity and the ciclical nature of this eternity: the cicle of life and death, the cicle of seasons, the units of time repeating themselves second after second, day after day, year after year, ecc.
    Aion is “The Future”
So Kairos, Chronos and Aion, 3 Time Divinities and Aria, Sonnet and Canon 3 Moon Divinities who also happen to have names tied to the world of music.
Moons and Time are connected, the phases of the Moon, or in this case Moons, form a cicle, this cicle is used to measure time, even in the game there are moondials and it's also what influences other cicles, the tides of the sea, the cicle of life for plants and animals, ecc .
Music and Time have, for obvious reasons, a strong connection, (I know someone could easily say time has strong connections to anything, but the point is music is all about time, its structure is based on time) not only irl, but also in the lore of the game, for example Venti has to do with time, but he is also the god of poetry, of ballads, he is a bard and knows all songs from past, present and future, he sings the history of the world which means that he turns the history of Teyvat into apparently fictional works that can't be changed by Irminsul. (This detail I think it's actually super important and I'm sure it will play a big role in the story. I thought about it when you said that fictional works like light novels could be more reliable than actual history books).
So now what do Aria, Sonnet and Canon's names mean?
(I don't really know a lot about music or poetry so I hope I can describe the basic concept of these terms without triggering someone, if I'm wrong on something please let me know)
An Aria is a piece of the performance that's defined as “closed” because it's somewhat independed from the rest of the piece, it's the part for the soloist, the part in which the singer has to demonstrate their ability.
In this context the Aria is “the right moment”, “The Present” so Aria is Kairos or Istaroth.
A Sonnet is a metric composition which means that it has a defined structure, an order to follow:
a defined number of verses with a defined number of sillables, distributed in a certain order and with rimes that pair in a precise way.
In this context the Sonnet is “the sequence of events”, “The Past” so Sonnet is Chronos.
Finally “Canon” literally means “rule”, “norm”, “principle”, it's used in all kinds of contexts, it can mean a fixed measure of something, like a fixed measure of time, in a drawing canons can the the proportions of the image and another easy example is the english term “canonically” which derives from the Latin Canon/Kanon.
In music a Canon is a piece in which two or more voices or instruments perform the same melody one after the other following regular time intervals.
In this context the Canon is “the ciclical nature of time”, “The Future” so Canon is Aion.
These I think are the identities of the Moons/Time deities and if I'm wrong I don't know what I'm gonna do honestly, I might cry.
Anyway since Canon is “The Principle”, “The Rule” I also wonder if The Unknown God is actually Canon at this point, she would have a reason for stopping the twins and also a reason for stopping humans when they discover something they shouldn't or cause some problems with forbidden knowledge, she is just following her duty and trying to keep the “cicle of time”, the cicle of Teyvat's life going.

i have a whole theory that the twins are unique because they defy teyvat so much that they are able to have many different fates, hence why both aether and lumine are both canon players despite having the same journey structure. which would explain why the traveler can't be recorded by the irmisul because there is no set journey for traveler but rather a bunch of different varieties.
and something interesting would be that the twins are both the 4th descender because they're considered one person. most likely not true, but i think it would be really cool if aether and lumine were considered one entity because they're twins. it would make the detail of us being twins a necessity, when they could've just made them be older/younger brother and sister.

It’s a pretty big what-if, but it makes sense narratively speaking. (Of course, given the total destruction they were facing if the twins existence meant the continuation of the unified civ either literally or symbolically they could have just been evacuated but the “the tree just kinda appeared, actually no it didn’t” scene being the set up for a later payoff would be pretty cool.)

Kinda off topic but I think the Book of Enoch has some interesting parallels to the fate of the seelies, specifically the part about a group of angels known as the Watchers who are sent to live among humans and guide them. The Watchers rebel against God by taking mortal wives, sharing forbidden knowledge with them (including weaponry and cosmetics for some reason) and having monstrous hybrid children that wreak havoc upon humanity. These angels are expelled from Heaven and the damage caused by their actions is what triggers the hard reset i.e. the great flood. Giant monster kids don't really fit into the seelie narrative but IMO the rest does, with seelies guiding humanity but being cursed for falling in love with humans, the myth that such an event leads to disaster etc.

Overall, I think there's a lot of merit to this theory!
However, I noticed one small issue with a part of it, which would, if taken into account, probably alter it ever so slightly. If the Traveler indeed has records stored within Irminsul, but their dataset is just marked as classified, then there's a major problem... and that is Rukkhadevata. The Traveler still remembers her, meaning that her existence as well as the Forbidden Knowledge related to her couldn't have been completely erased from Irminsul. That leaves us with a couple of possibilities if we still want the theory to work:
    1) What happened in Sumeru was just a stopgap measure and we'll have to erase Rukkhadevata even more thoroughly at some point or find some other way to deal with the Forbidden Knowledge. Considering that Nahida still seems to recall a very vague impression, a warmth, during her first Story Quest, there seem to be some slight hints supporting this.
    2) Irminsul was brought/created by the Second Who Came and didn't record the Traveler Twins before they fled. We'd have to explain their elemental powers as well as the appearance of their Constellation some other way, though.
(Of course, there are probably countless other ways to resolve this issue, but these are the two that came to my mind first.)
Thanks a lot for the hard work, Ashikai! Your videos are always a pleasure to watch \o/

in the video you talked about the moon sisters, aria, sonnet, and canon. this reminded me of one of the genshin menu tracks. it’s called “dream aria” and it’s the one with the woman singing that plays during the night menu. I find this connection fascinating since aria is one of the moon sisters, and you said that the seelie race liked to sing. also, the other menu tracks have interesting names like twilight serenity, remembrance, beckoning, eternal anamnesis, and reminiscence. kind of strange that the MAIN THEMES have references to the sky, one of the moon sisters titles, “remembering,” “beckoning,” ect, since this imagery is reflected throughout the twins and paimon (especially if paimon is a seelie). even aether and lumine’s names have connection to the sky. eternal anamnesis (the remembering of things from a supposed previous existence) lines up perfectly with how the travelers remember things erased by irminsul. also their connections with teyvat, like resin generation, resonating with the statues of the seven, gaining a constellation, ect seem to feel like a beckoning call from the world structure itself. I don’t really know where I’m going with this, but I just thought it was cool. another random point that the menu screen is speculated to be located in celestia itself, or some type of sky-heaven. again idk how all of this connects, but it seems eerily connected in some vague sort of way

honestly, bringing up the idea that the twins were once heirs, took me back to the battlepass cutscene, for a while there, i think many of us thought it wasnt the twins in the cutscene for various reasons, but rewatching the cutscene after watching this, makes me feel like it actually is them. of course it might still not be (i personally think it could either be the twins/paimon as the girl in the dress/ or people we havent seen yet) but who knows, maybe its too obvious to have their story out in the open like that, or maybe its been under our noses this whole time.
some points of connection that it could be the twins:
    - one of their heirs was tasked to find (genesis pearl, whatever that is lol) in the Kingdom of darkness, (i feel like this could be their original homeland/place before the time of gods, or khaenriah, or maybe theyre all one in the same)
    - heir tasked was deceived/memories erased, could be applied to twins
    - heir has no idea of their origins, and now is the commander of the darkness (abyss order?)
    - second heir obviously is the traveler as mentioned by venti (but maybe traveler =/= aether??)
maybe all this is just mumbo jumbo idk, but i had to rewatch the trailer and i feel like there were many things i missed that i could pick up on now
im also always keeping in mind the theme of "crowns" in relation to phanes and his shades, dk if it applys here but its interesting to think about the possibilities

So the reason why Abyss Sibling exist in Irminsul record is because he/she tapped into the Ley Lines or some kind of device with function similar to Statue of The Seven in Kahenriah.
How about the Traveler? Why Irminsul still has no record about him/her despote they have interacted with the Statue? My take on this is after the Cataclysm, Celestia is aware of The Twins ordeal in Teyvat thus modified Irminsul to not record any new data of The Twins nature. Since the Abyss siblings tap into Ley Lines before the Cataclysm ~before Celestia is aware of their existence in Teyvat & modified Irminsul~, Irminsul still has some record on em.
The question is then, how far can Celestia modify or affect Irminsul's operation? Can they simply erase existing data or add fictional data into it? I guess they can't do the erase part, because if they can then they can just simply erase all data about Abyss siblings instead of just obscuring new data and leaving pre-existing data untouched.

Maybe Azdaha can use multiple elements because he's a dragon. The 7 elements belong to Teyvat, but what if the energy of the laylines has alien origin? Maybe was created by the Primordial One to control the elements and that's why the Traveller can control it (and the other elements thanks to it). You remember the drawings underground in the fog island where the gods gave humans a gift?
The Abyss tryes to destroy the laylines because they want to set free Teyvat from the "slaving energy" of the god.

I always thought that the Traveler’s old “home world” was actually just a past Teyvat…Like the Twins left/fled that “version”, traveling around for who knows how long, and during that time something happened to the old “home world” to “die/reincarnate” into the current one (maybe even taking more than one “cycle”?). The dragon one would just be the most recent “cycle” before the current one.

If the Traveler is from a past Teyvat, where the Seven and Celestia didn't have the power over it they do currently, then maybe the way they resonate with the elements is just how it used to be. (At least the wielding an element without a vision bit. Multiple elements might be exclusive to them) after all, the archons/celestia are the ones who grant visions. If it was possible to wield the elements throughout the history of Teyvat, then it definitely worked differently back then even if visions were a thing. Whether this system was implemented to protect the people of Teyvat or protect Celestia and maintain influence remains to be seen. I think I'd probably fall on the latter though, since in present Teyvat people without visions are not just less strong-they are also much more harmed by various things in Teyvat, like delusions and the black mud/celestia radioactivity... which makes it hard to see how only some people being able to use the elements could be better in any context. ALSO. If the people of Teyvat once resonated with the elements without the need for Celestia or even visions, it's quite possible the Traveler isn't the only one capable of doing it. After all, some of the people from Teyvat's past are still around... cough cough Dainslief cough cough

Actually.. while watching this, i realised smtn.. if dragons were the ones that were ruling the baby Teyvat before the Primordial one defeated them...
Morax or Zhongli, is known to be a dragon way back before he met guizhong. So I'm actually interested to know if Zhongli is from a destroyed civilisation too. Could also be the reason why he's the most oldest archon as well. Maybe there was a treaty established between the second who came and the dragons who got killed by the first who came... There's a possibility..

Hi, not raiden shogun! It was mentioned that zhongli is an adeptus and if my memory doesn't decive me, the vishap are somehow related to dragons..? If the world was restarted than it makes sense for it to resemble the old world, it's like if earth was returned to the moment life was created, it would go a similar pattern as our current earth if it makes sense and most of the time tge data is still there, I suspect that they can't just destroy it. Like they destroyed sal vindagner because they took information from irminsul. Why if they could just destroy the info? And the current world is probably highly inspired by the old one. Also dragon is literally just a big lizard they could just be different kinds of dragons. No hate, just putting some critics on your theory. It can be, but I think currently we just have more info against it than for it

One thing I think could also be a possibility is that the traveler and the sibling are the primordial one split in two. They could have been split in halve forcing them to travel across worlds without them knowing that they were actually looking for Teyvat so when they finally arrive back in teyvat the plot starts happening.

03:19 if i'm not mistaken, i think it is said in the text talking about xiao's concept and design: all adepti have visions, they need visions too to manipulate elements. they have a "third eye", this third eye is the vision. the animal form of the adepti have too, but is an "inner" vision, that comes from the animal form, but they have a vision. but i'd like to say that La Signora used pyro without vision !

About the seelies, there's an Aranara quest that leads us to that area where we fight a weird boss that's like pure dark energy, very unique boss btw.
As we go along, the Aranara guiding us says the Seelies would loose their intelligence and become simpler beings if they fell in love with a human. So all seelies are like this because of that.

I had a really whack idea about our twin. So the line, “But the world shall burn no more, for you shall ascend to the seat of ‘the god.” really caught onto me, knowing that the twin has connections to the leylines (while the MC doesn’t). What if, the twin forcefully put themselves as a log into the leylines to have the possibility of becoming a god and rewriting fate? I’m not gonna go in more depth on this but I hope this sparks something 🥲

Anyone notice that Seelie from Honkai star rail has butterfly designs? Like Hu-Tao said in her teaser: "The butterfly's wanna be seelies when they grow up." Kinda cool. Butterflies hsve links to death so it would kinda be sad to see them linked, like the seelies are lagit representations of the dead souls of those who used to inhabit the world.

    • @hynd2898
      @hynd2898 Před rokem +3

In science the butterfly also represents the quantum state of matter. In binary quantum state (qubit) can be 1 or 0 at the same time.
1 is alive and 0 is death. Seele is described as having another personality within her named veliona, veliona which means the goddess of death. And seele in german means soul. It is the soul that makes living beings alive.
If you think butterfly means death, is not completely right or wrong. To me butterfly means life and death. Or you can say it is 'fate,'
