Malta and it’s cities are extremely old (think biblical times) and the island is also quite small, thus living conditions are often a little cramped, and buildings look a little worn as they are old. However don’t let this fool you, Malta is actually quite a rich little country, as shown by all the yachts and stuff in the harbour
