I was born mid-1979 and grew up in the 80’s. Such a vast majority of these I watched and loved. A few more that I loved and was waiting to be mentioned were Pole Position and Cops. Which I’m pretty sure we’re 80’s. Even if they didn’t have amazing stories at times, at the very least they had epic intros and theme music. But I agree with some of the other comments. Saturday morning cartoons? Oh, man. Nothing better. And kids who grew up even in the mid to late 90’s May never quite appreciate the feeling. There was absolutely nothing better. I used to wake up to start watching Saturday morning cartoons at literally 6am, and watch until about 1pm. Many times I’d either have fun things like breakfast cereal or things like Pop Tarts, or my mom would make pancakes, waffles, or French toast for me on those days. It was just bliss.

Great list! SilverHawks were my jam! I remember when I was 4 years old, I was watching it and my parents told me to put my shoes on because we were getting ready to leave, I wanted to wait for a commercial break. Because back then we couldn't go back and watch the episode at our own convenience. We had to wait for it to re-air and hopefully we were watching it when it did. So I waited, that didn't work out for my parents, so I got a spanking and had to sit in the hallway and listen to the rest of the episode. As a man, I rewatched the entire series to try to figure out which episode it was, it been 30 plus years I didn't remember which one it was on that particular day. Lol

Great list, I would just add a few titles that are not on it: Robotech, Challenge of the Gobots (there were 66 episodes of the show, one movie, that was actually 5 episodes of the show edited into a movie, and Battle of the Rock Lords, which was an animated movie), the other Ghostbusters animated show, where the crew had a giant gorilla in the crew. A weird show, and an acquired taste for some, understandably, Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs, Starcom (which is a G.I. Joe-type show, which lasted for only 13 episodes, but a solid show with more than solid animation and voice-work). Just a few others I remember quite fondly and recommend to fans of the 1980s and early 90s adventure-sci fi animated shows.

Yeah, it was something that just can't really be described anymore. Everything now is scheduled playdates with one particular friend, or a party with multiple, usually with exact times and pre-planned activities. At least for suburban life, in the 80's/90's, it was simply, "Mom, I heading outside", usually with a yell "Be back for supper" or something similar, and you went out the door and headed to where your best friend was or when to a nearby park/playground. If you had a bike, you could easily be anywhere within a mile or three from home, without any contact with your parents and they didn't really know where you were other than outside, unless you were getting yelled at by some other parent who knew you and called your parents up... You had the freedom to just show up at someone's house and ask if your friend was able to play, and most times that meant they simply then joined you and you went and grabbed others and soon you had a gang of 4-10 and would do all kinds of stuff. Play kickball, soccer, basketball, baseball, street hockey, go biking, skateboarding, build your own bike tracks in backlots and woodded areas without homes, paintball, laser tag... If you were lucky to be close enough to a mall or skate park or arcade, well, that became a hangout, sometimes it would be to the friend that had a pool, or the one who had a partial finished basement with video game consoles and a TV. It was dynamic, flowing fun, with the group heading to different places, going to pickup others, some splitting off as they had to go home, some staying at park to play basketball, or leaving to go play video games. Almost everything chosen by us kids at that time, with the rare exception of being ordered out by a parent if we were causing too much noise or getting out of control.
As for Saturday mornings, most would being hanging out at their own home, but one or two would trickle out to a nearby friend's home and watch stuff together as a small group. We always had a place for that friend or two who's parents were not really getting along and they would get out of the house so they didn't have to hear the fighting going on because both parents were at home together. To this day I believe that is much better option than what current kids have to deal with in those situations, and I think it saved lots of trauma from being inflicted on someone who wasn't ever at fault of that situation from having to be stuck in it. Spending the whole day out with your friends was a much better option that stuck at home...
Also you forgot a couple in that list that I don't even see mentioned in comments, like Gummi Bears, Captain N: The Game Master, Camp Candy, or The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians?

Great job on this list! It's nice to see some lesser known gems like Mighty Orbots, Galaxy Rangers and the Mysterious Cities of Gold here. Also, here are a couple you might consider for future videos... Saber Rider & the Star Sheriffs - WEP's follow-up to Voltron appeared around the same time as Galaxy Rangers and Bravestar and covered similar terrain, though it was probably the strongest of the three. Robotech - Building on the likes of Star Blazers (also not on this list) and Battle of the Planets, Robotech really brought mainstream awareness to anime in the U.S. The show is serialized, multi-generational, features characters with a lot of depth, and brought us some of the most memorable animated episodes of the 80's. :)

This is a buffet of nostalgia. Only a few names here that I don't remember. Chase and the Wheeled Warriors, so many 80's kids I've talked to say they've never heard of it. Makes me think it didnt get a wide syndication, but that show was amazing.

I was born 1981 so I grew up with these series in books, comic and on TV. Many mentioned here were ones I know and several I'd never heard of! Perhaps that's because I live in the UK. Many new series to explore and add to my collection, still popular with those who remember today as then if not even more so.
