I think he also manages well to adjust new songs to his altered voice. For example, 13 (There is a Light) sounds incredible but he can not hit those notes in Pride (in the name of love) anymore.
Please do not get this wrong, I have a really high opinion of Bono, he is a very inspiring role model for me.

If you know the edge you know it's there. The Recording Version have stronger sound from him. But I recommend to use earphone or headphone for both version
