I asked for prayers for my husbands biopsy, well it came back as cancer, but the dr did say that its the best cancer to get, they are gonna remove it and do chemo to make sure they kill all the cancer cells, but are going to do a PET scan in the mean time to make sure it hasn't spred. Please still continue to pray i know God is answering our prayers. God bless everyone who reads this!

Amy your deep fryer has a basket with a handle, use it to drain grease off the product your frying. Also, if you don't want to keep flipping the cheesesticks or anything round you can put the other basket on top to keep it submerged, just watch you time. . It also helps is you fry something that curls on the edges and you want it flat.

Another suggestion to make mozzarella sticks not so messy or time consuming is to just wrap up a string cheese in an egg roll wrapper then deep fry

When I make funnel cake, I just use a pancake mix and we love it. I use a funnel to make it on the stove and just make it in skillet. I know you usually don't use mixes, but I do. I don't make it but like once a year or so.
I have seen it before....it's all in one and you don't have to guess so it is a great idea

For your taquitos wet the edge with water water to seal. Refrigerate or freeze before you cook.
The ground up bologna does not sound weird I grew up eating it and still love it. I grew up in Michigan
If you do want to take the kids to Orlando for a day at Universal or Disney, stay at a hotel outside the park. Most of the hotels have shuttles to the area parks. It’s worth it once, just for them to experience. We always carried our own breakfasts and snacks, and budgeted for dinners out. After you go once, you’ll find it’s enough. Then the kids can enjoy the beautiful parks and beaches. Maybe research an area river that has canoeing and a safe swimming area.
Who doesn’t love funnel cakes with strawberries and whipped cream and powdered sugar! Yum! Everything looks delicious! Lucky family. 😊

I worked at a deli in my small town here in southern ohio, we always made our own ham/sandwich spread and we would take all the ends of whatever lunch meat we had and also the cheese ends and use it all. It was the best around. That little local owned grocery store with the deli closed several yrs ago and I’ve never been able to find a sandwich spread like we made. It was so delicious, definitely my favorite.

Mccormick cake batter flavoring .....bakery's secret... great for all cookies, funnel cakes, fritters, boxed cake and brownie mixes. it's so good. Found these addition uses on line. can be add to to frozen treats, shakes, all sweet baked goods, what are some other ways to use it, You can use it to flavor whipped cream, icing, frosting and buttercream. Try it in a pudding or filling, too. enjoy !
I have a friend that her family owns a food trailer that they take to events. They use pancake batter for funnel cakes and Jiffy cornbread mix for corn dogs.
A lot cheaper than using a bunch of ingredients. Just a suggestion. Thought you might try sometime. I don’t like frying food inside my house either. I always go outside too.
We cook for three days , then left overs fend for yourself , . I have been trying to over cook and freeze so when there's a problem in the family things can be covered for a few days . Most left overs last a few days and if you are a seasoned cook you know

Please don’t apologize for the wind chimes. :) It wasn’t to loud at all. I know it can be distracting but you were not out there long at all. My mom made something very similar with the chopped bologna meat when I was younger. We would take it on trips and loved it! What a great fun memory! My mom had to come up with fun ideas like you and sometimes our treats were not like others but we thought that they were amazing so that’s all that mattered. My dad was disabled by a drunk driver when I turned 12 so things were very rough for us and the everyday treats were like a once a month or so but we loved when she would do this. You sparked some really great memories for me. We live in the northern pan handle and last week our daughter moved back because her husband’s family is fighting stage 4 cancer and is not doing well at all and we were so thankful for that coolness and breeze while we unloaded the truck and unpacked. We also just moved and it was so hot and humid. Love our Florida weather.:) Hope you all had a wonderful Easter.

@@amymaryon thank you for praying! The diagnosis is not good. Our grandchildren are younger and do not know. My heart breaks for them but God knows the need and already has a plan. Thankfully the family member knows the Lord but the other parents has had several little strokes and cannot live alone so he has two parents to care for and our SIL will just be 30 soon. A lot definitely on their shoulders but they have seen God in so many ways through moving, etc.

I watch your blog each day at work and it’s always so encouraging to listen to you as you share about the Lord and that you are you and not trying to be someone else on screen.
I don’t really read the comments from others but I’m not one that thrives on controversies. My thing is if someone doesn’t like a persons channel, just don’t watch it. I realize things are different now. I watch a few channels and while we may be I. Different places, different churches, etc., I find things I can glean from. I’m sure you have a lot of people who feel as though you are a friend because you play such a big role in so many lives.
My husband and were in an occupation where we were very visible and dealt with a lot of criticism. Not helpful criticism but hurtful criticism.
Thank you for continuing to share great tips and to be encouragement. I’m sorry I don’t comment often. I should from time to time to thank you for your encouragement to someone who was hurt and beaten up and I just wanted to stay home and not go out.

The bologna is made in Trail Ohio. Not far from where we live. It is delicious & a very popular item. We are in Florida now. I'm pretty sure that Detwilers on Clark road sells the bologna. You can also get it in the Der Dutchman restaurant in Pinecraft. They sell some walnut creek food items in thier bakery.
Try fried jalapeños, use canned sliced ones (dry off) and fry the same way as the pickles. If you use a fine meshed strainer when breading your pickles it sure saves on messy fingers. 😊
use the lid on that deep fryer when you have food frying,,it will keep the oil to temp and also keep the bugs from flying in the oil

On the taquito's that doesn't sound that weird. As a Texan, I can easily see sour cream or cream base with taquito's and I can also imagine chicken stock being used. It is just that the chicken stock would also have a tomato component with it. You do you! If your kids and husband like it then it is all good! Anyone telling you you are wrong is the one that is wrong. Don't let them control your joy. They have no joy or they wouldn't need to control yours! The taquito's I grew up with were just shredded meat that had the appropriate seasonings rolled in a tortilla and fried and then you covered with sour cream or paired with guacamole and there are always salsa and chips near by. You have the right flavors, they just aren't applied in the traditional way and in my book, no harm no foul. You aren't serving this to people outside your home and saying it is authentic, but I would try it!

chopsticks are good for this purposes.
Are you using peanut oil. Its usually at BIG box stores plus you can strain and use a few times. It's s what we would use to deep fry turkey on 4th of July, etc.
Don't apologize for the wind chimes! They remind me of my childhood, my Mom always had them in the backyard. I find them very calming and relaxing.

You can . I would probably cook a little less longer and then freeze
You need to be mindful of how old your leftovers are when you are “repurposing” and transforming them into something else. Still old food in the new and can make your family sick. Sometimes it’s better to toss it. But your filming isn’t always in order, so maybe the food isn’t as old as it seems?

Fried foods look great. With my acid reflux I would only be able to eat maybe one of those items at a time. I hope the family enjoys them and you it is a lot of work.

No...that lemonade didn't slush very well do to the sugar content so we had to get creative but once we got it icy we put cotton candy into the drink like a handful...so yummy
