As a stamper whose eyesight has reduced to where coloring is extremely difficult The stencils are a game changer for me

These cards are gorgeous, Kelly!! That sentiment stamp pairs so beautifully with the floral focal piece, it looks like they belong together. 😍
These cards are lovely and save for the large sentiment they don’t look like they came from one stamp set. Appreciate your perspective on the direction of stamping, and it has been extremely satisfying where companies are making all components available, but letting you select which ones fit best for your crafting style. A bundle is good if you will use each one, but for some of us, stencils and dies are easier to work with vs. stamps and coloring. TFS!

I'm like you, I appreciate the companies that let you pick and choose the components. I used to buy monthly kits from another company that always included an embossing folder that I rarely used. I will say I do appreciate bundle discountsif the componentsare all items I will use. Anyway, lots of great info and ideas in this video. Thank you!

Kelly, those cards are so elegant, stunning all the way around stunning. I think this set is beautiful, but who can spend $110 on a complete set to make these cards. Kelly I agree with you about having more interesting and versatile crafty options. Complaints would go up if all of the crafty companies did not come up with innovative options; therefore why are there complaints being heard regarding coordinating products? No one is forcing anyone to purchase everything that happens to coordinate. Dollars are dollars and each of us must determine how we wish to use our budgets. Thank you to you for being honest and forthright with all of your reviews of the wonderful products that are hitting the market. I like having the choices in the products being made, I have some just stamps and dies, some just stencils, etc. I love the idea of outlining the flower accents in black to match the sentiment on the gold card, I don't like white outlines either.

I’m not sure how I missed this video. I absolutely adore both of the Give Thanks cards. The other one is lovely as well, I just think the other two are more my style. I completely agree that since everyone creates differently, there needs to be different crafty options. Anyone who poo-poos that, must not understand that not everyone creates like they do. Or maybe they are just miserable kermudgens… who knows. lol

Die cutting flattens things out, so you'd want to do an impression plate (or texture plate or embossing) after you do your die cutting.

Your cards are beautiful! I have a question what would be the difference between the impression plate and an embossing folder? Does Honey Bee's impression plate deboss like Spellbinders Betterpress? Can you glimmer with the plate? I love all the choices we now have - it is a blessing to have so many options and tools so our cards can be so much more impressive to people who do not enjoy our hobby. I have been doing this since 1980's and back in the day there were only stamps and limited colors in inks.🥰

I do like those colors you used. Very pretty cards! I like sets if I have a choice for all the reasons you stated. It’s not even the thing to have the whole set…it’s about options.
Question about the impression plate, can it be used on the spellbinder’s BetterPress? I know it’s a Honey Bee video, but will it work do you think? I ended up getting one and see a lot of uses for it. I’ve found that adding a couple paper shims on it opens up more more options to use foil plates and other papers, including watercolor paper.

Does the impression plate give a similar impress to an embossing folder?
I challenge you to do a card without splatter. Is give thanks card was beautiful until you splattered gold all over it. But that's my opinion of course.
