I'm a stone Cold fan, and hearing a gold medalist say, he was inspired to become a wrestler, and to become one of my favorites too. Knowing stone Cold inspired you, as a wrestling fan, that's bad ass to know on so many levels.
Stone Cold helped Angle get to that next level in 2001. They had great chemistry together in the ring and never had a bad match together. Just have to look at their matches at Summerslam 2001, Unforgiven 2001, October 8th 2001 and Vengeance 2001 as examples of how well they worked in the ring
Backstage segments were golden.
SummerSlam match in 01 was top 3 that year even though there was no pinfall.

Listening to these stories is fun. Regretfully, i only got snippets of wwf cuz my brother had it on tv, and i was only 7,8 years old. So i missed out on the golden era
Best thing to come from invasion storyline was Austin/Kurt interaction.

I always heard kurt looked up to Stone Cold before he even got into wrestling. It's a shame Austin had to take his ball and go home early into Angle's career. Those 2 could of had some bangers!
What segments they did have during the invasion, were pure gold. I’ve never laughed so hard.

I have been watching Raw back in 01 when Kurt and Austin were feuding.I think I am the only one who liked Austin as a heel.I loved when Kurt kidnapped him and took his truck.

If the definitions of Professional and Amateur weren’t so convoluted and misused, there wouldn’t be that misconception. You either get paid or you don’t. Professional and Amateur have zero to do with skill level.

I'm not saying this as Austin's #1 fan, but Angle did not defeat Steve for the wwf title. Austin's foot was under the rope, and therefore out of the field of play, and the pin should have been broken up
