And Hopsin showed NF the respect of not cursing on this track. Try Hopsin’s Alone With Me or Bella Ciao. Alone With Me gives you more background into Hopsin’s “burdens/balloons”. As a therapist I tell my clients that we all have baggage but we do have some choices into how much we carry around with us.

I've just finished binge watching about 10-15 of your videos after your reaction to When I'm Gone by Eminem was recommended to me. I'm a huge fan of NF and have listened to Eminem since I was a kid in the late 90s. I just have to say your reactions, and also the progression of uncovering a genre that you were skeptical about in the past, was so wholesome and amazing to watch. Can't wait to see more :)

NF def is an Em fan but if you pay attention he does tend to flat out copy which isn't a green go for many of us. Hopsin is an em fan also and in his older songs you can see the inspiration like his lyrics or how he does an alternate voice in his music until he grew as an artist and got improved on his own flow

I am not sure why NF sometimes gets compared to Eminem. They are COMPLETELY different. Basically the only similarity worth mentioning is their race. Early in NF's career there was a clear Eminem influence but basically every album from Therapy Session onward is very distinct both lyrically and musically. He has most certainly paved his own lane and has one of the most loyal and hardcore fan bases of any artist in hip hop. Love your channel too :) awesome reactions!

Em is a legend in rap and so many rappers are inspired by him.....the problem is there are rappers who want to be Em! NF was inspired by Em and took that and created his own style and content. Being inspired is great but trying to copy another artist is where people go wrong. My opinion 😊👌🏽

One thing about Hopsin is that he mentions in some songs something like in here: "a family that I don't have anymore" (actually Ill Mind of Hopsin 9 is about the whole ordeal) and it's about this woman in australia who he got pregnant. They got a messy break-up because the woman decided when she was pregnant to cheat on him and he went pretty wild on social media, then suddenly there was allegations of an assault that would have happened earlier and he got an restraining order aka he wouldn't be able to see his kid grow (I'm a bit biased ofcourse but the assault claim happened in pretty convinient timing her being a celeb make-up artist and a celeb ex is digging into her in a public manner about something really bad sounding aka influencing her very lucrative business and it being so easy to just make the claim afterwards since he isn't native so it's very easy to get him just out of her life that way before the baby is even born.. who knows, just mighty convinient timing to claim that). This was like few years ago.

Hopefully when his child is grown, they will be able to have a relationship. Usually a pattern of abuse emerges and when its only once and a little sus with timing, good chance its fabricated.

This was my first time hearing NF. I get why people compare him to Eminem but everyone, like a snowflake has their own touch on music. I know you prefer links in the comments but I would highly recommend the track Till I Collapse by Eminem ft Nate Dogg. If your looking for a motivational song this my friend is what you need on your playlist. I play it all the time when I'm working or if I feel like I need a pick me up. Def recommend doing the journey in order, obviously songs are good on their own but if you go back and forth there's going to be few videos that will leave you lost (no pun intended).

I admit I’m a rap/hip hop cheater. I check out the lyrics first. These artists are too fast for me to keep up. Lyrics and video with such insightful reactions from you, Chris. I’m not personally crazy to be left hanging on the ending of a book or movie. Poetry is a different story. And this is a perfect example. This is thought provoking from start to finish. Ending on a mysterious visual to rewind through your mind. It’s the question mark of, “Okay, what does this mean for me? They led me on a path, where do I go? What do I want to do with these burdens?” Love your comments on friendships, spot on.

This is for anyone new who may want to take the NF journey as we call it because he intertwines his music like marvel movies.
All four albums is like a connected series. For instance in his when i grow up song, paid my dues, leave me alone, and why song, the black smile is the fake smile that he mentions in therapy session song.
He hides eggs in his videos. In when i grow up song there was two hidden eggs in that song. A black balloon by the trash cans and in burger joint he grabbed at receipt that had the date and time of when his song time was being released. He had outcast name tag on in the janitor part from his Outcast song. Another example is in the search song he had cage in background he rapped in from his outcast song.
