I had an XS V8 for 17 years.Regularly serviced and used daily.Never let me down once but the fuel consumption was off the charts.Roughly 14 to the gallon although i do live in a hilly area and it was worth it for the v8 sound.Sadly it rotted from the inside out as they all do and was beyond economical salvation.I was gutted when i let it go

interesting video's as an owner of a D1 I really appreciate your screen time - this looks like a half way decent specimen - in the UK you have a lot of LR breaker yards and can probably source everything you need for a very reasonable price - if you aren't checking breaker yards I would highly recommend it - in the US we don't have nearly as many that specialize in LR's and parts are much more expensive
