On my railroad anything goes if someone doesn't like it build their own
I live in Springfield, Missouri, headquarters of fallen flag Frisco, which merged with Burlington Northern in 1980 and the Frisco name was completely dropped. When I was a kid there were still lots of old-timers who used to work for Frisco, but with each passing year there are fewer and fewer of those guys around. Kinda makes me sad.

You would have loved this morning’s train watching in Roanoke VA in front of the Hotel Roanoke on Shenandoah Ave; usually a good bottleneck of East-West traffic. Three NS manifest trains and two intermodal in the last half hour although no fallen flags. Plus one NS engine running light headed south.
Great show! Love watching the fallen flags especially the NYC. You do need a NKP to fill out yhe roster.

Do you have the 611 steam engine? I grew up outside of Roanoke Virginia, the home of N&W and 611 was and still is my favorite engine.
I really want one. I just haven't budgeted for one yet! It's my son's favorite too!.
Odd question, how do you feel about fantasy road names? I can’t really find a railroad I like the livery of so I want to create my own.
I think it’s hard to get a feel for something you don’t have a personal tie to. If you can make up something that gives you a certain kind of feeling, I think that’d be pretty cool. A decent amount of bigger names in the podcasting circuit have done that.
If you have an inclination towards writing, I might say you should write a short story following two members of your railroad. Maybe somebody who’s a higher up and somebody who is just joining out of school. I’d have to do something like that for me.
