According to the killings at the beach, he shot 20 times, much more than any conventional civilian firearm could at the time, and I honestly doubt he'd reload just to pump bullets into a dead body. In a criminal trial circumstantial evidence can still lead to a conviction. But it really depends on the suspect. As long as the suspect is either black or brown you will convict almost 100% of time. Since the description of the zodiac was white there was absolutely no chance that you could convict on circumstantial evidence alone. - American Justice system.

(Also if you take notice of how many times a person was stabbed/ shot you get a series of scrambled letters. So victim one was shot once so it would be A, victim two was shot five times so E. I would like someone to continue this in this comment's reply section so I can see what letters there are. If I am correct, all letters should either spell or be included in Robert Graysmith's name. Even if it isn't spelling out Robert Graysmith or if the letters aren't all included. Try it with the other list of suspects mentioned.
Another theory, take a look at where the zodiac killer commits his crimes on 8:20. Slowly join up the dots together and connect the first and last dot. It should make a hazard symbol like it did for me. In the middle of this symbol is a small space, that could be where he is located.

It's simple, in order to evade being caught you just have to be smart. The reason why smart murderers are rare is because murder is an absolutely stupid thing to do. It's a high risk act with virtually no pay off. It's a paradox, and luckily not one that we see often.

Making grammar errors doesn't mean you have a bad IQ, I read some of the letters and it seems to be done on purpose, also if you look at them all you can see that it was more than one person who wrote them all or one guy who wrote them in different styles of writing

Or copy cats. Not related but it's a common occurrence. If a killer gets fame via news or oine sources, a copy cat kill might pop up, pretending to be said killer. That could be why there were calling cards on some victims, and not others. That could also explain why the mode of killing changed. Killers usually either like a couple closely related methods of killing, or the method changes a lot. It could also explain why there is no connection between victims. Different people killing, different people they want killed.

banana master what I wish is that the series on Investigation Discovery has episodes for this so called “Stoneman”. All I’ve seen mainly via TV crime series were just Jack the Ripper, Zodiac Killer, Grim Sleeper, Green River Killer, John Wayne Gacy, and DB Cooper.
