Hi there! Really am intrigued to read the titles you listed in this video. Being a LGBT History Buff/Writer I am always on the lookout for books that take place in eras where LGBT characters have to navigate life, face challenges and reconcile the expectations of their societies with their sexual identities. Thanks so much for sharing your favorite reads, am excited to add them on my To-Read list!

I’m so miffed I missed this video! I didn’t realise but I’d not got bell clicked so I mossed this😭 however watching it now so all is good🥳 Horray for these amazing recommendations. I’ve still not read Maurice I’m ashamed of myself but I have a copy on my shelves I’ve just not got there yet! Days without end is so epic! The pace just just kept on increasing towards the end I couldn’t cope😭 So paying guests 😳 I was not ready for the second half but wow what a ride! I’ve only watched the BBC series for tipping the Velvet. I’ve never read Patrick Gale but he’s a author people keep on suggesting to me. Tin Man made me cry on a plane while everyone was getting off. It’s just because Michael wonders if Ellis will care when he’s gone and has no idea of the impact his death caused😭😭😭😭 loves listening to this list and have noted down heaps 🥳😂🙌🌈

Glad you found it in the end! I ADORED Days Without End, so I'm so glad you liked it. I think you might enjoy Patrick Gale too. Tin Man is one of those ones that stayed with me more than I thought at first it would. And yes, you do need to read Maurice - it's amazing!

Nice video. I love the miniaturist. It gave a powerful insight into how much restraints were faced by homosexuals under human made law and God’s law at that time. But even until today, many are still criticising the freedom of others whilst enjoying own indulgence without guilt.

I have read a lot of these but there are some I've wanted to read for years. Can I also recommend
The Hearts Invisible Furies by John Boyne
