    Not sure if you are still responding to this video, looks like it was posted about 3 1/2 years ago.
    I recently started looking into becoming a locksmith. With the pandemic still going on, I was wondering how much of what you need to learn can be learned remotely. I saw a locksmith video school, where besides the videos covering the necessary areas to know, you receive tools, practice locks / keys and a manual with workbook for the lessons.
    I had originally thought you would have to go to work for someone, or a company, more as an apprentice and learn the trade as you go.
    Thank you, and very impressive job with the van!

  • @Nitrxgen

    I'm surprised you don't have CCTV in there. Locksmith vans get broken into a lot where I am. It's common they cut through the roof. Thanks for the tour :)

    • @DrLockShop
      @DrLockShop  Před 6 lety +3

      The van is being upgraded, so soon it will be empty. CCTV will only give you a photo of the person. But it dose have CCTV 2 cameras, that connects to the mobile, some other security that was not mentions. The only effective method is to keep the van in sight and stay close to it. Cutting the roof is a bit extreme, but I will install a new sensor on the new van, on the roof. Thanks for the tip

  • @lukej452
    @lukej452 Před rokem

    Lovely van setup, but my god I would be worried about it being broken into with it being sign written, one of the things we have to weigh up I guess between looking professional and the extra advertising, vs welcoming unwanted guests.

    Im not sure if you ever use a router(trim router) for your projects but Templaco makes some useful stuff for wood doors. Not sure where you located but is helpful in the states. It is a little more accurate and faster for me when doing deadbolt strikes and latches. Doesnt look like you could add anything else, lol. Anyway thanks for sharing!

      Confira também meus outros exemplos de furgões de serralheiro, a porta lateral para mim é obrigatória, o acesso traseiro não é suficiente, você tem que passar por cima de todas as ferramentas e caixas, em um dia agitado pode ser mais difícil do que precisa ser , venda a carrinha e compre duas portas de correr. Faça certo e será melhor para você a longo prazo

    where would you work in panic bars to a setup like this? cause my van is quite similar, (2015 transit) and much respect on how you laid out your electrical system. how can you run all of that without the engine running?

    • @DrLockShop
      @DrLockShop  Před 6 lety +2

      Hi, I dont often work on panic bars, Its all run from a second battery. 120 amp deep cycle, it never let me down , but I have now moved up to a 250 amp , and using an inverter 2000w - 3000w peek - pure sign wave

    Great Vid! Quick question if I may... do you do all your inverter/power setup yourself? I am setting up my 2nd van and have no idea where to start. Did you get an auto elec to do it for you?

    • @DrLockShop
      @DrLockShop  Před 6 lety +1

      I setup the power, I was quoted $1500 to set it up + parts and the parts are not cheap. You need to know what you are doing, or you can burn your van out, or have problems if you get it wrong.
