8 yrs ago I met a girl, and it didn’t seem like it was working. I saw this video on MTV, and immediately after I switched to VH1 it came on there as well. (I never saw the video on either channel again… ever) I sent the song to her. And we married 6 weeks later and just celebrated 8 yrs. Thank you OAR and GOD especially for how it was perfect timing of seeing this and even meeting her.

Tbh this song has bittersweet memories for me. My dad and I would listen to this song a lot while my parents were getting a divorce. I still feel those feelings of pure sorrow and anger. Anger that I couldn’t do anything. Sorrow that my family was falling apart. I now know that it was for the better. Neither of them were happy. But my dad got very scary in the end. I saw him as the scary person. Idk why but this song almost brings me comfort knowing that I survived as well as my mom.
