The Lansen is still better than average, but yes the AAT60 is better.
Lansen has better mobility, because of its horsepower to weight ratio. Which makes it feel so much better for peaking and firing, as well as getting up to speed to reposition that much quicker.
I think nothing changed. The strongest aspects of the Lansen were always:
1. Size
2. Camo
3. Power-to-Weight
The gun is good enough for what it is but the platform is so small and sneaky that combined with the fantastic camo and insane hp/t it can be anywhere and everywhere on the map, which lends itself to the "sniper" medium playstyle so well! AAT60 is better stat-wise, but its american butt is twice the size (which is a big deal for a paper medium!)... For the average player the AAT60 is probably gonna be better. But I love to play around the very unique strengths of the Lansen and be a little pest with a hard hitting cannon.
We'll see how the Lansen holds up in the next 5 years tho
I have the best games in the Lansen years after years even on the yearly lookback thing . Lansen is just epic the gunhandling could be a bit better but thats the only real weeknes of it .

Lags keep happening to me and its insanely annoying in tournaments and stuff from 140 fps to 20 for second when enemy appears in any distance which kills shoots sometimes
same with me. Trying to drive and nothing happens sometimes just drive forward and die lol.

Started happening to me a year ago. Suddenly i was lagging, not much, like few times in one game but it can demolish your game. Everybody told me its my computer but i never believed it since every other game is fine. Its definitely servers.
Welcome to playing wot in middle east.. ping is 24 and server lags happens almost every game

I think what Skill is trying to say is....power creep is real. It isn't that the Lansen is somehow now worse but instead the bar has moved so rating need adjusting according to the bar set. Like 10 years ago the Defender would be a five star top of the line tier 8 heavy that would destroy in pros hands but was also massively beginner friendly, these days it is a great beginner premium for sure but it is far outclassed by so many tanks and the rampant gold spam.

Sometimes you can play 2 similar tanks and the one with worse stats just feels better and performs better. Seems to be each tank is different for everyone :D
The lansen will always be a 4 in my heart.
Released AAT60 reminded me of my beloved, long not played Lansen - i re-equipped it and can feel all the love again. Standard shells are almost half the cost compared to AAT60.
Nothin changed, no need to cut balls to Lansen, that mobility and acceleration is mega useful and fun. Lansen was always played with gold because of ammo speed of APCR...

I have purchased Lansen C about 6 months ago and I was so surprised how nice it feels to play with it.
I need to say this straight in the face. My par-a-meter for enjoying the skeeeel videos, is very, very, very nice. I am a bit paranoid at the same time, that I cannot see them all. I am trying to craft a better angle, to watch them more. Not much what I can change about this, I love the skeeeel video with all my heart.
Lansen C is more agile, has better camo, and is on smaller platform, so it has his advantages.
I'm actually experiencing these lagg spikes too

IMO why change the Lasen rating if it performs well? If you are rating it off of other tanks then all heavies from tier IX down should have their ratings dropped when compared to the BZ 176! A tank should be rated by it's performance alone and not how it performs compared to another tank.
I'm from UK and certainly last few weeks the lag has been considerably worse. Sometimes on the 30 second count down to start i can get 2 entries on the screen where i am actually 'in the game' and then 10 seconds of freeze...Not confidence inspiring 😬
I don't agree with the evaluation since Lansen is way faster than this new tank
lansen offers stronger mobility values and camo. Unfortunately, there are some big problems here.
lansen cant afford to be using mobility and combat oriented roles simultaneously, because the gun handling is diarrhea. The mobility is only for leaving and repositions
lansen doesnt work all to well in CVS med builds in absenze of light tanks, because the VR is low end (380 not 390-400) and the gun handling becomes worse than diarrhea without any boosting equipment.
@@demetrioshristovski4518 Lansen is probably the best played without vents. If you put optics instead and put usual vstab rammer combo, it can work well. Gun handling does not seem that bad for that DPM and peek-and-hide ability.
Tbh, I am using bounty equipment since it is my favorite tank, but it can't be that worse with regular equipment.
@@AlexS-qq7nx lf you are putting optics, may as well run optics/CVS/low noise build. This means the gun is next to useless, unless you stick it into the enemy and fire.
running a 2019 setup of vertical stab, rammer, optics isnt necessary anymore unless its your build for grinding field mods. Half-and-half builds arent needed if you can have 2 centralized builds.
Lansens speed cap also really hurts the mobility. For that power to weight, the speed cap should be 55 or 60. lts real low, limiting lansen. 2176 base DPM used to be nice for a med, now its like a baseline number. Substandard tanks like VTU, CS52, panther ll, lndien pz, pershing, FCM50 have more, and even with better pen

Lansen was always one of my beloved tanks and I disagree with your opinion about the Lansen in comparison to the AAT60 eventho I saw the similarity’s myself. Maybe it’s only me, but I think that lansen is far better shaped in order to bounce couple of shots. (eventho the armor isn’t reliable either) and the camo is also very good on the lansen. To be honest the camo of AAT60 isnt bad, but lansen feels a little superior in my eyes.
But the main reason I prefer the lansen is, because of the insane mobility. The lansen got one of the best power to weight ratios and has a better topspeed. Eventho the gun may be trollish from time to time it gives me similar vibes to the Leopards and I enjoy that a lot. Lansen doesn’t need a turbo in order to be able to relocate fast and can drive uphill as fast as AAT60 downhill.
Due to this I think it’s not fair to rank lansen as average. He is kinda outdated in terms of the penetration and gun handling, but is still a decent tank and deserves better then average in my eyes.

You should add half ratings as other people mentioned in the comments. 4 stars lansen, 4.5 stars AAT60. AAT60 is good in many aspects, but the lack of mobility holds it off, especially in late game when you need to relocate fast or early game when you need to reach a certain position. One trades gun for mobility, the other one viceversa
Bravo and well done. I feel like like Lansen doesnt miss often for me. The AAT60 feels like I miss more. But overall I like both.
Mine has been lagging for 4 days and stopped out of no were yesterday. I think a micro patch messed something up and was fixed a couple days after.

I wouldn't decrease Lansen rating, there are things in which it is better than AAT60 and even if the new tank is more powerful, the difference is not so big. If there would be more tanks significantly better than Lansen (either by releasing new or buffing old and leaving him out), then you could say it has been powercreeped and deserves lower rating. But changing ratings every time better alternative for tank is released is imho pointless, rather updating ratings after some time, when META changes a lot (read as powercreep), is a better idea.
I mean I doubt that playing Lansen now VS before release of AAT60 is that huge difference. Only if you directly compete with AAT using DPM is when you feel the difference
one of my favorite tanks. I have killed 8 with it on a ridgeline. Speed, good punch, what is not to like.

Hey, Skill! I'm not sure you are right in downgrading the Lansen to average: maybe it is not as good as the AAT60, but it remains far better than most of the other tier 8 medium tanks rated average, so in order to avoid a (small) distorsion of ratings, you create a much bigger one which can confuse casual players in the choice for example of purchasing new Premium tanks. For me, 2 "good" ratings for both Lansen and AAT60 would probably have been better reflecting the situation.

The lag for me has been horrendous lately. I’ve been trying everything from making sure everything is updated to lowering my graphic settings and disabling lots of features for better performance. Everything helped the lag be slightly less common but it still happened. As of now though I have had zero lag, so I’m not sure what gives… must be the servers

Actually, I'd say that Lansen, so far, is much better, because you can purchase it from the store (from time to time, quite often) and you DO NOT HAVE TO GAMBLE to get it !
I think the biggest problem of the Lancen is the huge paper turret. Sure AAT60 have paper turret too, but it's harder to hit on medium and long distance. Also Lancen takes ages to aim wich is no bueno for me
Lansen is my fav non auto loader premium. It’s not as good as AAT, but Lansen simply feels good to play. It’s super nimble, super responsive to your WASD controls. I don’t think I have the same responsive feeling on any other medium
I noticing a lot more lag lately in the game , and my friend constantly have between 100-200 ping, he never had that before this update

aat60 sadly outclassed lansen for me, but still they're good in own way. The only things lansen do better on paper is mobility, quite platform and it have -10 gun depression everywhere, rest its just outclassed.
Even having better mobility in sweedish medium, aat still is a lot better for peeking and shooting no matter what situation is making it more universal and brutal in many situations (mainly because its tiny turret when facing + gun handling with enough mobility: this combo is truly deadly to the point having no armour isn't issue at all, still behaving like hulldown monster in some way).
Lansen on other hand can use mobility just to be more sneaky cuz aat have quite issue with it, in some situations is easier for this tank to sabotage enemies but with accuracy problem, can be more valuable in certain situations later in battle. Still good overall, just became outclassed, and its a lot cheaper in gold heh.
There's a lot of lag recently. I have missed a lot of shots because of it. The shots aren't going when I want them to etc.
The only premium tank that I want and still don't have. Maybe besides AMX Cda 105. I'd gladly give my LT-432, Object 703 II and 50tp Prot for it if it was possible.

It may not be as good as it's new counterpart, but it looks cooler by far.

8:45 for me the game is unplayable at night because i have these "lag spikes" every 2 second and my tank keeps basically teleporting...

My best was 14 kills with T-54 in a real game, no disconnect farming. Was many years ago in early days of the game.
Hi Skill, I do have Lacen and it is one of my most played tanks and I still think is 4, AAT60 I do not have but I will buy one when come in shop, I didn't buy boxes!!! AAT60 is better for what I see from you and others.
Lansen is one of my favorite tanks, but its complete lack of armor makes it bad on certain maps
I would keep Lansen at 4 stars! It is much more mobile and it feels more nimble than AAT60, compensation for worse gun performance... but when you think about it, in reality all those stats you speak of, are not so important. Lansen gun handling is very very good comparing with numbers, he snaps like nuts! Difference is DPM but taking into consideration the mobility, not worse at all!
I like, not love the Larsen C. Very good mobility, fairly accurate, and good alpha for a tier 8 medium. The other thing is it is a relatively small tank meaning it can hide in smaller spots, and is a small target. But, to me there are many tier 8 mediums that are better, not just the new one.
I love lancen c , i marked him to 100% , but this aat60 IS better reload Time , pénétration of ammo , speed ammo , better view range better cammo , beter dpm , better aim Time , beter dispersion... Wouahou , but i dont buy loot box , because now a day i spot wot since décember and winter lootbox

That was luck that the Obj.274a in Paris was a bot. If he would play correct and go to the city, the Lansen would struggle. Thats a good example that even the best tanks are useless if the player is bad.
I think the lancen should keep the 4 star rating and the new tank should be 5 stars honestly.

For me, Lansen C was always 3 overall with a 3 gun, even before the release of AAT60

I love the Lansen but I cannot deny that it is increasingly hard to play in today's meta
The new tank may well be better on paper but that doesn't mean the player base knows how to use it. It's competition but it doesn't make the Lansen less of a tank. I think you're being harsh, but what do I know 😂
It’s Not your Internet Skill, Ever Since the 1.21 update the Servers have been Super Laggy. US Central Sever had a Micropatch a couple of days ago but it Barely Helped
That micropatch on the NA server has made lag even worst than before.
i got these 2 tanks (lansen c & AAT60)) at the same time in the orc lootboxes and sinse then i have always compared them together...AAT60 is wayyyyyy better! Lansen gun is troll and view range subpar.

AAT60 has better stats, but in reality, I still enjoy the Lansen more, and the gun does not feel much worse than the AAT60, despite the stats saying otherwise. AAT60 is so sluggish, even with a turbo. I think the Lansen has better sigma than AAT60.

AAT60 5 Stars. Lansen 4. Because: A similar vehicle with better characteristics in some parts in comparison does not make the other vehicle worse for itself. Does Lansen perform worse, only because AAT60 is in the game? No. It performs the same as before. Especially when there is no AAT60 in the same battle. It would be different, when Lansen had been powercreeped because of general game meta, but that would be another argument and had nothing to do with AAT60.

The word you mean for what the AAT did to the Lansen is that it made it "obsolete", not "irrelevant", I think.

Don't see why you would lower its rating ?? Unless its been nerfed, Its still the exact same tank as it was before the new tank released So nothings changed.. And if your going to lower ratings every time WG makes a New Premium of same class and tier then I think you'll be spending a lot more time fixing and updating the Index... Just my 2 cents Ps. still Love the Lansen ! And if I get tracked I still have the Sword n Shield to keep me going :) Thanks Video
