- In this video i am going to show you how you can change or replace broken micro usb charging port of JBL Flip 3.
If your charging port is not working or broken then you can solve this problem by watching this video but for charging port replacement you needs special tool and repairing experience, if you have all of these, then you can easily fix this type of problems in any device.
in this video i am also showing you a temporary solution by joint 2 wire directly in charging wires (Red(Positive) and Black (Negative)).

hey men! I already did your tutorial and its working! I just wanna ask, what is the problem of my Bluetooth speaker? My speaker will just turn on if its connected to my charger but when i unplug it to my charger, my speaker will go off? I hope that you notice my comment thanks!
Battery problem
Thank you! I’ve used the first part of this video to open up the case only, as surprisingly my Flip 3 looks totally different. I own the Flip 3 stealth edition, so I had to open the battery case as well (which I didn’t mind as I had to replace that as well).
I would not have thought this would work! I fixed mine thanks to you =)

Way too complicated for me tho, but nice job. Will the other port ext to it charge it as well? Using proper auxiliary cord of course.
Just need 5 volt for charging, so its doesn't matter, which type of jack you are using just, check positive and negative terminals
@@LittleBitTechInfo The round port next to the USB port that you are fixing...Im wondering if an auxiliary charging cord would work to charge the speaker from that existing port. I dont know if that existing port is connected to the charging feature on the device. If not, do you know why that port is there? I may have to check the manual.
Is there any other way of charging a jbl flip 3? Like is there an alternative to plugging the charger in? Perhaps there’s a wireless way of charging it?

It didn’t work. I measured black and red wire have 0v
When i power them with 5v from usb charger still no lights come on on the speaker :/ any other problem it could be?
@@insanitybe If it was stored with diacharged battery for a long time it could take some time to turn or. It could be that the battery died.

I founded many videos of replace battery of a JBL Flip 3, but no one has the parts like this video. But here you dont replace the batery, and your video replacing it is from the other model different of this one. 😞 Dont know how to dismount this one to replace battery 😕

my flip 3 is not this shape - my flip 4 is. I need to find video that shows a flat and round Flip 3. The insides are very different of course - only one speaker. If there is a battery it is under the mother board. I am thinking it can't be fixed.

Hi. I have a strange problem (can't find anything on the internet). The 5th led is blinking forever and I have no sound at all. I can start the flip 3 and connect with bluetooth but that's all. Could thid be an issue with the charging port ? I bought a new battery and still the same problem.

@@LittleBitTechInfo Yes. There are 5 led blinking when you charge your flip. In my case only one led is blinking.
Hey, Great solution! one question, hope you see it - I cut the battery off (very swollen one and pretty dead) and there are 2 black + 2 red wires that were connected. will it still work or should i solder black to black and red to red?
Also need 3rd wire(white or yellow), you can use single red and black wire, remove battery circuit for 3rd wire, this wire used for temprature and its important for circuit

I cut all 5 wires and threw battery. there's one white for temperature as you say. so should i join two blacks of battery together and two reds of battery together because they transfer electricity onward or can i connect the power supply to the battery red and black instead of connecting them to the broken plug red and black
Yes you can connect upto 4.2 Volts on red black wire, but if not power on, you need battery pcb for 3rd wire, watch this video, what you need to do czcams.com/video/sfruqxppbIo/video.html

@@LittleBitTechInfo i get these pop noises in higher volume because it's a 5.0v charger. is there a simple way to limit the voltage to 4v?
FYI - NOT ALWAYS MICRO SOLDER FIX NEEDED: Just fixed my daughter's non-charging Charge 3 after switching out the battery which WAS NOT THE ISSUE. Not sure this is the more likely problem with the USB port but in ours, the 5-point contact piece within the USB metal housing was broken rather than the full metal housing piece which is soldered to the board. I was able to grab that mostly intact L-shaped piece which is plastic and then first tested it while carefully holding in in place and connecting a charger cable>>>>lights on speaker came on and started blinking!!! So, next got some quality plastic glue - E6000 craft adhesive - I had around and using a paperclip and needle was able to lightly and cleanly coat the remaining plastic broken post and also the inside of the metal USB housing that attached to the board. This glue is hard to work with in a small space but you have a few minutes before it sets up to apply to both pieces then fit into place.
Let set 24 hours and tried to gently connect>>>WORKING GREAT. Probably need to be gentle with using port but I think I got enough glue in place to make it stronger than original.
Wanted to post because I bet this broken plastic is probably the part that needs repair for many and the fix DOES NOT REQUIRE any micro-soldering tools or expertise,,,,well, maybe similar expertise, but with the E600 glue which can be tough.

The board got damaged during the repair. How can I bypass the board and put a cable end coming out of the speaker? I don't care about losing the aux input.

My Flip 3 has screws that need to be removed to detach the middle cover.
I just found it out the hard way.
I pulled the cover just like he did in the video and broke the plastic around the screws :(

How should I know which one is positive and which one is negative wire?

Red positive and black negative, Check the diffrences, Thickness off the mount, thick is negative and thin is positive, Hope it helped

Why don't they just sell replacement pieces that have the aux/charge port both on the board- so all we would need to do is plug it in
