That counsellor who told her she wasnt pretty enough to get auditions was dead wrong for saying that to her she clearly started to instill a lack of self esteem and confidence in her.Brandy was and still is that girl. She's an icon her track record proves it. She was a great representation for young girls and especially black young girls and women everywhere
That woman that said it, wasnt in no way SHAPE or form was "Drop dead gorgeous" herself!

thanks for posting this gem! MTV Ultrasound, VJs like John Norris or Kurt Loder narrating or interviewing people of all genres and the hip hop and R&B of back then plus tons of sitcoms starring an all black cast plus the hood films of back then. what a golden age it was although not without criticisms. Didn't Moesha end a cliffhanger however? Brandy seems like the perfect well grounded sweetheart. loved her music, need to relisten to her second album because i think i only liked one or two songs but i remember liking it way more then full moon. but wow beautiful woman, perfect smile, and by all accounts a criminally underused/overlooked actress. and Ray J's album "This ain't a game" also criminally underrated, and whatever happened to Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins and Babyface? they continuing to produce artists or more into the business side of the industry?

At the height of her popularity people still doubted her talents: voice, acting, dancing even her looks and yea while she has a clout following today, Monica and Aaliyah never had the walk the tough road like brandy did. Brandy might’ve not had gotten her record deal if she didn’t get on thea. Her counterparts had a much easier road to success.

That’s not the case, they were young and she’s always had someone in mind from full moon to b7, plus Kobe was doing him, you also can’t be matching these folks together based on what you think 😂😂😂... She finally got with the person she always wanted to be with. Y’all gotta listen to the albums, her songs coincide with each other, for example on full moon she has the song nothing, and on two eleven there’s without you. That’s just one example, also her unreleased track supreme, to the latest album b7, there’s Rather Be, and No tomorrow. She has the one she’s been stressing over lol, she is married on the low. That’s why you don’t see her in public with any dudes, she’s know for being in relationships publicly.
