Di-rect is a Dutch band. I just love them. The singer Marcel, sings with his whole soul. It's just f#@$ing good music. They also great live, such good musicians. I absolutly love Nightwish and Ayreon, but Di-rect is also one off my favorites!

Oh this is actually a Dutch band, they were quite popular. The original singer was Tim Akkerman, who was part of the same season of Bestezangers as Floor Jansen of Nightwish.
Are, not were. But this is one of those bands which do not need to be in the spotlights for people to know they are there. Just like U2, Queen etc. Not comparing Di-rect to them, but its the same principle.
Love the way Spike (guitarist) cracks up seeing Marcel tiptoe around at the end :-) Great song. Really shows the magic of doing something LIVE. Or at lest semi-live

I beg you pardon… It is a Dutch band (the Netherlands). Yes, in Europe. A very famous band in Finland is Nightwish with Floor Janssen, an incredible good band as well, complete different genre.
First thing I thought too was that it reminded me of the stuff you play. The Americana/Alt country style. I had never heard of this group but it was really good.

Kicking this to today... ;) Great reaction. If you like this, you definately like the other Dutch Rock band Kensington. Unfortunately Eloi, the lead singer quitted in 2022. Still they made some gems to listen to. The "Vrienden van Amstel" together with Di-Rect, and Sorry Live in the Johan Cruijff Arena are pure eargasms.... Hope you can enjoy them too!
