I feel that this is more realistic. In an actual situation like this, people don’t start crying and saying how they regretted this and regretted that. They are so shocked, they have no idea how to react. All y’all just too glued to the exaggerated crying.

I dont see how people are hating on this scene. What joy did is more realistic than crying since she found out about the bet and hated him for some episodes. She was dissapointed but shocked. Its realistic cmon guys

For those who STILL DON'T UNDERSTAND HER ACTING THAT WAY:
She was disappointed and mad at him about the bet which WAS THE BIGGEST MATTER than all of their big problems in this drama. Her acting shows that she was very sad and very mad at him, she kinda felt like she didn't want to help him or even went there, BUT SHE DID. Her shocked face shows after all that happened SUDDENLY she faced Sihyun almost died in her arm. That was very shocking for Taehee. If she cried a lot in this scene, then we couldn't feel how mad, how disappointed, how shock she was of him *YET* she still had feelings and empathy for him. *Bish stop comparing her and Soji, their character have big differences and so does the emotion/expression.*
*Taehee's character is calm and Sooji is the opposite.*

Im literally like the character. I dont process emotion quickly. My rational brain will be calculating things, looking for exits, looking for a phone....ive only been shocked motionless once. Never again.
According to her personality in this drama, it’s accurate and realistic to react that way, calm & collected. I don’t see bad acting at all stupid hater 🤦♀️
This was a horrible and scary scene but then again they will AGAIN criticize Joy's acting and will say she ruined the scene. The director has approved her acting that's why it was aired, why other people always criticize her and always compare her with Gayoung when their characters are way too different.
Sheena Marie Domingo joy DID ruin the scene. She had no expression at all and it didn't really seem to her that her boyfriend is about to die. Everyone is comparing her to gayoung because that person shows more emotion than joy ok. I love joy but to be honest she really did ruin it.
Ikr.She was supposed to be shocked, it just didn't sink to her character that her bf was hurt. And her character in here doesn't really express her emotions. Just think if this happened to you, would you be histerical? (I mean, like as of it could do any good) If the director isn't satisfied with her acting, they would have taken another try with this scene. They are just being realistic
She made herself as calm as possible. She didn't scream like you guys wanted cause its not written in the script. And if she did scream would it help Si Hyun to wake up? She is the matured one among the others in the drama can't you see it? She's not a weak girl that would scream and cry while Si Hyun is badly hurt. Didnt you see she dialed the 911 before anything else? Would the screaming Tae Hee like you guys wanted be able to do that? I think not. Please know again her role and HER BEHAVIOUR before you guys judge Joy's acting. The cringy moments I am not completely convinced by it, but scenes like this i dont think she didnt do it properly again. Just saying 😊
Sheena Marie Domingo AGREED !! AND GAYOUNG IS VERY EXPERIENCED SHE EVEN ACTED WITH EXO BUT JOY IS JUST A ROOKIE ( rookie rookie ! ) so dont compare...give her time to improve..this is only her second drama jeez.. i think she is doing pretty well already as a greenhorn in the acting industry..
it is really has to be, her character will always still be the same, her reaction when she's in pain and shocked was always like that, remember her car accident where its not that critical but she's way traumatize, she did so much effor and great job to this drama, it just that its a so much roller coaster drama that anyone can't relate so easily to the main characteristic of the character, especially her, and don't compare her acting to someone like Ga young, cause she had been on so many dramas already, and Joy really take it to the next level this timee, u guys don't just appreciate it
There's constructive criticism and then there's ridiculous comments saying she ruined everything and she should stop acting. I think Joy had a particularly difficult role, and it’s a shame that when a kdrama has issues all too often the male lead gets praised and protected and there’s a pile-on culture towards the female lead. For example, the comments about Joy not being able to express emotion seem to overlook the reality of the character she was portraying and who Taehee was (and the situation she was in), and ignore the many other scenes where Joy delivered an honest emotional performance. The first break up scene in this drama was so well acted by Joy that I just don't understand how anyone could think she can't act. The way Taehee was in this scene leads me to believe that in these scenes Joy was given specific directions and she delivered what the director asked.
I look forward to seeing Park Sooyoung in more acting roles in the future, and for her to keep improving. Joy always seems like someone who acknowledges she still has a lot to learn and keeps working hard. She should be proud of that.

In my opinion, this scene was perfectly enacted by Joy. If she had been hysterical, it would have been over the top acting and not would not have suited the shocking situation her character found herself in. Brava Joy!

Her look of disbelief and shock is so sad... This scene brought me to tears cause of her reaction, it was so genuine.

I know a lot of people haven't said much about this but I really loved Woo Do Hwan's acting in this. At the start, you can clearly see how disappointed he feels in himself when he sees joy turn up. Even though he was the one who hurt her, she has come back to help him and he clearly knows that he doesn't deserve her and that's what leads him to do his next action. To at least do something for her, even though he knows that will never completely make up for what he did.
Yall in real life if we encounter this, we wont cry out loud and talk for ten minutes,,, what we will do is what joy made. Bet

I haven’t even watched the drama yet and based on the situation that’s been explained countless of times in the comments, I think Joy’s acting was spot on. The camera focused on her face when Sihyeon was hit. She was shocked and probably couldn’t process what just transpired. That’s why she kept on asking if he’s okay, still not believing what just happened in front of her. That he was hurt because saving her when he was the one who lied and hurt her in the first place. She was mad because she was fooled and lied to. And then suddenly this happened to him. I’m pretty sure no one will function properly in the same situation. Her character is calm and each character is portrayed for who they are. Meaning, they don’t always have to react the same as other people. Each character has their own nuances and reaction. Their own PERSONALITIES. Do you really think they would upload this scene if the director didn’t approve of her acting?? You wanna be directors? Just say you’re biased because you ship sihyeon with su ji haha or you’re just probably a hater of joy picking on her every time 😂 losers(haters) got a lot of time I see.

Be thankful that she ever did come to save Si Hyun. It means she still cared. And about blabbing about telling them that she called the police, thay's a reflex reaction. Like I said, she is in battle of her emotions that she is still trying to holding it all in inside her. The scene was probably stressing her out more than ever. The guy kept on insisting Tae Hee to come with her. With all these things, Joy can't come up something in her mind a better way for these men to stop what they're doing and leave Tae Hee? I'm prerty sure it wasn't her goal to get the situation worse. The scene clearly tells us what reality is. Sometimes, out of panic, pressure, and stress, we end up coming with bad ideas or dumb decisions. I'm pretty sure all of do relate. Don't tell me you haven't done these bad decisions in your life? Don't tell me you haven't regretted any of your decisions that have gone worse? I know you don't know things will turn out worse than it already has. Put yourself in Joy's shoes, people judging her what they saw based on her actions, not knowing how struggle it is for her already in the inside.
I really liked joy in the liar and his lover. Maybe this isn't her best work but we should applaud her for working hard and trying her best! 😊

Once i was in a similar situation like this and i behaved just like how the actress behaved in the video. To be honest, i was really shocked to the core that i could barely speak and my emotions at that time was exactly portrayed by this actress. She did not exagerrate and cry in this scene which would have been unrealistic.

Her acting in this scene is very realistic. She was betrayed by them man she loved and therefore rightfully mad but still wanted to help him. She felt hate, concern and shock all at once. Crying isn't the only response to traumatic and painful events.

I love Joy so much. Her acting may seem “unnatural” but let’s be honest here, she always has room for improvement. I hate the fact that people criticize her for being a “bad actress” when they don’t even know how to act. She’s trying her best and this is her second drama. Every actor/actress have their own level of acting. Since she’s an idol you can’t expect Joy to have the talent of acting just naturally.
Also understand Joy's lack of emotion in here. I'm no psycho but I think even for me, it'll be natural to act this way after all the stress and depression the three friends caused me. I mean, Joy felt she was toyed. So, I completely understand her. This is a battle of her emotions. Before you judge people, you better understand the situation first. I've watched the drama, and all I ever felt was pain for Joy since the very beginning. Everything that happened is not easy for her. But I've know Eun Tae Hee to be strong when it comes to this. That's why I can say, her reaction towards this happening is only natural. She can't breakdown right away, because of she did, she may not be able to call the ambulance or the police immediately because she will still be crying, like in most cases in other kdramas. And you all be like, please don't let Si Hyun die.

Joy's acting skill was superb!! When something terrible happens in front of me...i react the same way. Most people do not cry and shout..so shocked that it made us speechless and not know what to do.
