  • Late night study is very common among students doing JEE & NEET preparation. Many students feel that they are more comfortable in studying late night compared to day time study. At night students feel less distractions and more concentration so study usually upto 3am in the night. In this video Ashish Arora sir is explaining the advantages & disadvantages of late night study and the time when it is comfortable to study late night and when it is not.

    For all night owls ,
    1)please use sun block curtains and tell family members to have pin drop silence .
    2) don't use over head blankets because that will built CO2 LEVELS under blanket and you will be inspiring CO2 rich air which will lead to CO2 levels building in brain and consequent day time yawning
    3) power nap should be 45 min since one sleep cycle is at least 45 min .
    4) in between 2 hrs study, take break of 10 min. At this time don't use gadgets but meditate and try to remember the study topic

    Please bring that 5am series sir , at least I will get up early in the morning thinking that there is something to do...

    My boards got over today ...i m also an night owl...but i was thinking of changing my routine to morning.i tried waking up early last few days but failed n i was very worried that night study has more harms....but now i m happy to carry out my night study routine...cuz night is the time I can concentrate on study in the best way

      I have changed my routine from night to morning and it has helped me. I feel like i have extra time at night as i sleep at 10 and wake up at 5 or 6

    At night, there is less distraction as compared to the morning. But 10 days before every exam, somehow i am able to correct my sleep schedule.

    Sir I prefer waking up early because early morning our mind is free without any stress or tension but at night everything we did in the whole day runs in our mind and our efficiency and focus decreases
    This is my case it varies person to person;what they prefer

    I used to be a night owl but slowly left that habit(for now). Mainly due to the fact that my teachers told me that its a good habit but doesn't fit much with JEE timings and especially classes which are held in morning.
    But still, if you feel better while studying at night, i think you should go for it.

    I too, am a night owl, I sleep at 6-7am and wale up at 1-2 pm.
    Studying at night gives me the highest efficiency.

    Exam st from 2 pm, min i will leave my house from 10 am so i don't think any changes required in daily schedule as i usually daily wake up at 10 am and sleeps at 3-4

    this happened to me, I ruined my jee mains (95%ile only), VITEEE (23k rank) and bitsat (280 marks), but thankfully by the time of jee advanced I fixed it. took me months, should have fixed it months ago. One of the biggest regret of my life ever.

    4-6hr enough just do alot of yoga(30-45)min you not feel sleepy after 4-6hr

    I am also night owl but I used to follow biphasic sleep pattern that is sleeping between 3am-6am and after school 3pm-6pm (Total 6hrs complete) Ya felling refreshed twice a day 🙂
