Saw this vid and checked out the tower on the way back from sunrise on the east, I told the worker at the tower how I heard of it and had him checking out your channel he seemed happy!

Cool to see Jackie with you. Citrus tower definitely an old Florida attraction, and Claremont has certainly changed a lot in the last 18 years since we first drove down 27 on our way to wdw. Back then lots of abandoned motels, citrus farms , and no shopping centers.

The reason the heads are all facing downward is that in 2004 Hurricane Charlie came through in August. It knocked out the electricity for over a week and they all melted into the positions they are now .
I first started following him when he was out of Florida YEARS ago and it’s fun to see him ‘home’ even if just for a visit...The kids LOVE his channel, too!

Cool! You were in my neck of the woods. I live in Clermont. I do wish the town was more like it was when I was a kid though. It was mainly orange groves. You used to be able to go to the top of the Citrus Tower and look out over the highest concentration of citrus in the state. Of course that part was before my time though. Merry Christmas, Adam!! 🎄

Last time I was at the Citrus Tower the windows were open which was a little scary. Too bad we no longer have the beautiful view that was there years ago. Oh and you can also see downtown Orlando on top of one of the hills on 50. The hill right before you get to Steak N Shake.

Great video Adam. Always loved the Citrus Tower. If you are ever in Pensacola Florida you should stop by the NAS Museum. It's one of the top Museum's in America. I think you will like it.

We went there last year to both "The House of Presidents" and "The Showcase of Citrus". It was a nice outing. You're the first I seen do a video on them. Good video. Merry Christmas!

I haven't been to the Hall of Presidents since I was a kid about 20 years ago, have to make a trip back over there sometime soon.
Also, if you're ever in Sumter County, there is a small battlefield hidden over in Bushnell you might be interested in called the Dade Battlefield. May not look like much, but it is worth the trip.

I can see the Citrus Tower from my back yard.....I live in Clermont. Never been to the Presidental place...but have been up in the CT many times. Lived in Clermont most of my life. It was a big deal until the big freeze that killed all the citrus trees in the 1980's.

Ha, I live about 10 miles from the Citrus Tower. Merry Christmas! I tried to make a donation to the Hall of Presidents of a Jimmy Carter peanut mug with his smile on it. It was suppose to be given to President Carter in 1979 in St. Paul MN., but he was a no show. Can't remember the reason why; but the Hall wouldn't take it without wanting a lot of documentation. I gave up and gave the mug to a local thrift store.

So I don't know if someone else already volunteered this information in these comments, but apparently Florida still provides the most orange juice and grapefruits, but California and Arizona provide more oranges for eating.
Just FYI, FDR 's Scottish terrier was named Fala and is on the FDR Memorial in Washington, D.C.

I watched something about a year ago on why the wax figures are bowing their heads. It's due to heat and humidity and the weight of the wax figures heads that makes them droop and look toward the ground. Merry Christmas Adam and a Happy New Year!! Shall you? :)

I used to live south of the tower (near US 27/US 192) in what was the first apartment complex in the area and beyond that complex was pretty much nothing - that was 1994/1995

Wow; Barb Bush looks pretty good. The heads are looking down because they are melt in the Florida heat and it causes them to sag down.
