Dad's Legacy is a socio-psychological film that reflects on some of the difficult lives of fathers in life. They lived with torment and suffering hidden in their hearts in the face of life's adversities.
Besides, the film revolves around the lives of three fathers, each of whom has their own circumstances with many hidden feelings. Mr. Ba Tri (Merited Artist Thanh Nam) is a veteran official with many and successful descendants. Yet he was lonely and desolate in his old age when his children tried to criticize his simple, honest old love.
Mr. Toan's father and son (Thai Hoa) have to live in poverty. He lived despite slander about his moral character when he was suspected of repeatedly playing depraved tricks on his own daughter. But their deep love contains a mystery that no one understands.
Or Mr. Dinh (Merited Artist Thanh Loc), an ancient intellectual who always lives with an optimistic and calm appearance but in his heart carries the pain of a love affair.
