I’ve never clicked on a video so fast lol
thank you!
This is the most professional tutorial I've ever seen on CZcams. On top of that, you completely understand what it is to be a teacher and how to teach a piece on the piano. This was so clear, I hope you produce more content of that quality.
I can only play an octave with 1-5. Unfortunate how small hands make many pieces from Chopin and Liszt essentially impossible to play (properly).
Still, thanks a lot for your tutorials, Paul! You are an amazing pianist and teacher. :)
Exactly but it's still possible. Just use 15
Thank you for this great tutorial. The world is a better place with people like you ❤
Wow thumb up first, every minute in this video is precious. Thank you thank you thank you.😊
-- so kind - you are very welcome.
This content has so much value thank you for teaching us 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
This is South Korea. It's very rare to see people playing the FEURICH piano everywhere.
Thank you so much Paul for an amazing tutorial and wise words. I'm preparing this piece for my audition in university exam, wish me luck ☺️
Good luck!
Marvelous nocturne and fantastic tutorial, thank you very much Paul!
Hi Paul ! Thank you so much for this tutorial! I am studying this beautiful Nocturne for my graduation on June 2024 and I am learning a lot with your technical tips. Thank you so much! Cecília from São Paulo, Brazil.
Wonderful work, Paul! You help a lot of people, have seen the comments... Congratulations! ❤God bless you 🙏🏽
THE BEST piano tutorial!!!
This is perfect timing! Learning it rn and almost finished the piece. It’s very beautiful and one of my favorited
I cannot thank you enough for this! Exactly what i needed to start with this piece.
Thank you for this fantastic tutorial Paul, it’s very valuable. I’m not an advanced pianist and the notes on fingering are very helpful. I’ve been learning this piece for about 10 months and I’m currently working through the doppio section, again your help with this section is very helpful.
Excellent control, I couldn’t agree more about the expression and dynamics on the Doppio Movimento section. I’m covering Op48 for an album. Id love to hear some Scriabin on this channel!
Thanks
Excellent tutorial! Thanks Paul.
Thanks for the very clear tutorial - just what I needed to begin learning this piece!
Whoa, didn't know Paul's videos were in 4k now! Great quality!
Also quick tip: at 7:36 instead of rolling the chords, you can put the top notes to your right thumb. It sounds much nicer
yes!
Thank you so much! 🤗👏👏👏👏👏🤩
Muito bom! Dá para aperfeiçoar a técnica!
Obrigada!
Very good .
Thank you! 🎉
can you do a tutorial for chopin ballade 4 please, your video has been always helpful, thanks
ich liebe Chopin
Brilliant guide, thank you!
Hi Paul, this is a great tutorial for a wonderful piece. I'm currently learning this piece for a performance, and I was partly inspired by you to take it on. I have listened to quite a few of your tutorials and I'm grateful for your dedication to sharing your knowledge.
One area for feedback is I noticed that you play a wrong note at 23:20. Your right hand melody plays an Eb instead of E natural in the 2nd half of the 2nd measure (both in the slow and at tempo takes). It should go C E F G, rather than C Eb F G due to the E natural sign at the beginning of the measure. It is a very challenging piece! Cheers!
Nice insights, thanks!!! Most technical tutorial. I struggle with 3 vs 4 on the second part! Lol....
wonderful, gonna practice it in 6 oktav keyboard :) thanks for sharing
Magnificent 😊
18:17 ❤
I now study this piece. Look at 19:29 fingerings in the left hand. So stupid Paderevsky recommend to change 2 and 3 finger to play the same note in places like this. At a high speed it is so inconvenient. Though Paul do this using one finger and it is wise IMHO.
One of my dreams 🥹
Great theory but it hinges upon pretty big hands if you're female. 1 and 4 for white key octaves from above? 😅😅😅
Excellent video. You actually make it sound reasonably easy. Lols.
Question. Given such pieces are best played from memory, what is the best way to learn a piece like this?
In bits, say 4-5 bars till memorised before moving on? Or sight reading large sections till memory kicks in?
Thanks
The pattern of left hand in c section is very similar to Schubert's Standchen/Serenade 😮
Great video thank you so much ☺️ is there a technical exercise how to emphasize the melody (5th finger) in the doppio movimiento section ?
i dont play piano but i will try to learn
Hello Paul, thanks a lot for what you to do for all of us. From France, my english is far from perfect and I was wondering if you could activate the « cc » (subtitles) in your videos. It would be very helpful. Anyhow thanks again for your fantastic work.
Any plans to record another performance of the Chopin Ballade op23 on your new piano?
Hi Jonathan -- I've recorded B1 on the FEURICH 218

Shouldn’t that be an e instead of an eb in the right hand at 22:54?
Thanks for your feedback. You are absolutely right!
Philippe
on 18:41 why didn’t you play the B on the G7 chord?
is it just a mistake or there is some reason behind the change?
Same as around 14:17
