By he I mean king hippo and you still have to land combos is why the limit isn't there I said no combos which technically means you can't Stun had to be fair on this enemy
Oh, I see Title Defense Bear Hugger gonna be a massive problem. The traditional way to beat him is to *stun* him then use a 3 star punch for the IKD. And because it's Title Defense throwing stars while your opponent is idle makes them dodge it.
Great Tiger also sucks, he puts _himself_ in the dizzy animation at the end of the Mirage Dance. Exception? Edit: I shoulda clarified. The IKO trick on Great Tiger is possible as long as him putting himself in the stunned animation from the spin attack at the end of it doesn't count as a stun. Otherwise we'd have to win before he did that once or get hit by it every time.
You can still interrupt an attack with a star punch. In fact, doing that with any attack from contender bear hugger is an instant knockdown, and was an alternate way to win for this video
after bear hugger throws a punch, you can star punch right after, although they do significantly less damage, and the three star doesn't knock him down
Removing King Hippo's manhole cover does not involve stunning him. If the white in the opponent's health bar disappears instantly, you have landed an unstunned punch, so Glass Joe's headgear off phase is not a stun.
Basically, I can only hit them if it doesn’t stun them. So I will mostly be grabbing star punches from counters. However, I do have a few slip ups where I have to restart because I accidentally stun them.
Why didn’t you try landing a star punch near the end of Super Macho Man’s special attack during round 2, where he puts on the sunglasses and poses before unleashing about 3 or so heavy punches or something

That first phase doesn't use the stun animation though so I wouldn't count it as a fail anyway.

Not in Career Mode. You can have 100 fights in exhibition mode, but those games won’t show up when you go back to fight in career mode
