    Worked on a job a couple weeks back and a guy pulled out this case, was instantly intrigued as to what it held, real nice kit for the price. Left my drills in the van and the guy lent them to me for a bit, now i have the real big boy combi and impact and obviously these aren't in the same league but for the price they are really really good! Only complaint i have is that the chuck was slipping a bit, but i think that might be beacuse it had seen some use. Impact had no trouble running 4 inch screws into a joist. 9/10.

    Best drills I've ever used! I love them so much that I bought a second combo pack of them just in case the others ever die. I've had mine for 4 years now and they still perform the same as when I first bought them. Ill honestly never use another drill

    Great little set. I've had the Hitachi 12vpeak combo for years and always wanted to compare them to these little guys. At 120$ that's a good deal. Great review! Thanks

    The case really grabs my attention. A lot of thought and detail in the case alone. I'm on board with you J-Dog, I reach for the 12 volt tools before my 18 volt tools. My my 18Vs will always have a place in my tool box.

    • @ToolCraze
      @ToolCraze  Před 9 lety

      Brien totally agree! 12 volt for most tasks and 18v for when more power is needed

    thanks a lot for this excellent review. I really appreciated that you showed how true the chuck was on the drill. I am Milwaukee guy but neither of my drills has true chuck, all of the ones i tried has bad issue with chuck wobble, I am thinking of getting this set for precision work alone. Thank you

  • @Mr.Pop0

    you should do a battery test driving long screws until the battery dies so we can compare, thats what really matters with cordless drivers imo

    Good reviews and likeable guy.
    You forgot to mention that lack of battery choices tho! Makita 12v(10.8v in uk) range only offers an old school 1.3ah battery! Well outdated. Seems they've given up on their compact range with other brands up to 4ah now

    I've had this combo for a while and am generally pretty happy with it. The drill is less than stellar. I think it lacks power, not happy with the chuck (mine slips), and the LED light on it is shadowed by the chuck, rendering it useless. The impact driver, however, is my BFF.

    • @ToolCraze
      @ToolCraze  Před 8 lety

      +bityard check out how these compare with dewalt Bosch and Milwaukee in my 12v drill and impact driver comparisons

    If only you could attach a larger battery like Milwaukee. Also I doubt that the impact driver has as much stamina as a 18v(It would get hotter). If you were doing hundreds of skrews a day(even fairly small ones) these are the wrong tools. But for tight spaces and domestic use they look good.
    Probably more suitable than my Ryobi 18v for general use.

    just curious i install cabinets all the time, would these be good for that? i use 2 1/2 screw and 1 1/4 screws

    • @ToolCraze
      @ToolCraze  Před 9 lety

      +HobbyPC the drill is great for drilling small holes and the impact would be great for driving screws into hardwoods. I don't see why not

    • @JustinLodes
      @JustinLodes Před 8 lety

      Absolutely! I've used these drills for a few years now and I can honestly say they are the best drills I've ever used in my life. The impact driver is the one I use most and I've put up cabinets with them with ease. I'm still amazed when unused them at how much power and torque they have for their size

      no music at all. Let's hear the motor on the drill and see how much it struggles on long nails compare to my 18v makita.
